As a Christian, my purpose is to please God above all else. I have two commandments that are given to me by God. You may look funny at this and question how I can only come up with two commandments. There are only two. 1) Love the Lord with all my heart, all my soul, and all my mind. and 2) Love my neighbor as myself. Those two things are the main points of my entire life.

According to Christians/Jews/Muslims, we humans are the only beings in the universe who are given free will. Plants and animals follow God's plan without thinking about it, but we are given the ability to make our own decisions.
From that 'abrahamic' monotheistic perspective, then, I don't believe God expects us to just become robots, to give up our most precious gift. He WANTS us to make decisions for ourselves. I have a very hard time believing God created us just to praise him and do what religious leaders tell us to do without some considerable personal thinking and reflection.
This means that YOU are responsible for the purpose and meaning of YOUR life. Nobody can tell you what the purpose of YOUR life is. YOU have control and YOU bear all responsibility.
The purpose of life is not important for a lot of people. They get along okay from day to day, do their job, raise kids, hopefully put some money away, etc. If the purpose of life is important to -you-, then you have to sit down and do some thinking for yourself, with the imagination, intellect, and the observational and critical faculties God gave you.
(I am not Christian. I was raised Jewish, and believe in God, but consider myself mostly agnostic.)

The purpose of life is to be happy and through good deeds spread happiness to others hoping that they will do the same.
I would consider myself an agnostic, in the sense that I believe in a higher power, but do not follow any strict religious guidelines.

Purpose of life requires God.
“Unless you assume a God, the question of life’s purpose is meaningless.” –Bertrand Russell (philosopher, mathematician and atheist)
Of course, we can all make up some little game or some meaningless thing to do and call it purpose but unless it comes from a Creator, it isn't purpose.
If we believe we have purpose, logically we must accept God as the source. If we do that, we immediately see that God must have put our intense need for purpose and meaning into our human nature to point us to seek Him.

the purpose of life is to have a wonderful relationship with God through His Son Jesus. yes a relationship between us and God, the same as a husband and wife, mother and children, best friend and best friend. to walk and talk together. to go through life with Jesus by your side.
Here is the best description comes from Oswald Chambers
his August 4th from the daily devotion. My Utemost for His Highest.
THE BRAVE COMRADESHIP OF GOD
"Then He took unto Him the twelve." Luke 18:31
The bravery of God in trusting us! You say - "But He has been unwise to choose me, because there is nothing in me; I am not of any value." That is why He chose you. As long as you think there is something in you, He cannot choose you because you have ends of your own to serve; but if you have let Him bring you to the end of your self-sufficiency then He can choose you to go with Him to Jerusalem, and that will mean the fulfilment of purposes which He does not discuss with you.
We are apt to say that because a man has natural ability, therefore he will make a good Christian. It is not a question of our equipment but of our poverty, not of what we bring with us, but of what God puts into us; not a question of natural virtues of strength of character, knowledge, and experience - all that is of no avail in this matter. The only thing that avails is that we are taken up into the big compelling of God and made His comrades (cf. 1 Cor. 1:26-30). The comradeship of God is made up out of men who know their poverty. He can do nothing with the man who thinks that he is of use to God. As Christians we are not out for our own cause at all, we are out for the cause of God, which can never be our cause. We do not know what God is after, but we have to maintain our relationship with Him whatever happens. We must never allow anything to injure our relationship with God; if it does get injured we must take time and get it put right. The main thing about Christianity is not the work we do, but the relationship we maintain and the atmosphere produced by that relationship. That is all God asks us to look after, and it is the one thing that is being continually assailed.
every day Mr. Chambers speaks of the importance of mainting a relationship with Christ. here is his website.

The conclusion of the matter, everything having been heard, is "Fear [deep respect and love] the [true ]God and keep his commandments. For this is the whole [obligation] of man. For the [true] God himself will bring every sort of work into the judgment in relation to every hidden thing, as to whether it is good or bad. Ecclesiastes 12: 13, 14

well my purpose is to searve God, and Praise Jesus.
Save lost souls, meaning those who are lost that don't know Jesus and don't have a relationship with HIm.....
also to live my life, that God made for me and Blessed me with.
to be all that i can be...... complete my purpose.....
to love others and to love God more.!!!!
that's my purpose.
well our.
we live, we die, it's only a matter of time for us to live..... who knows when we die. my cousin was killed unexpectlly in june 11 of 2007th....
we think we all have it right, but we don't... see without God, we are lost and hungry for more of life when we can't have it all and are looking for satisfaction that is only temprary.
but with God He can give us not temprary Satisfaction, but eternal satisfaction.....
i rather searve God now, then die soon and not know Him.
when i get to heaven i want HIm to say "well done my Prince"
i don't want Him to ever tell me "I never knew you"

life itself has no reason. The destination is certain for all. It is how we arrive there, or the way we journey which makes all the difference. The purpose in our journey is the compassion and kindness we show others. The rest is unknowable.
