Speaking as one with a long history of lusting after Vile Temptresses, I would say that it is essential that there be lots of exposed bosom and cleavage. Spike heels, of course. My favorite Temptress would be attired in a black patent leather Dominatrix outfit. Oh yeah, with old-fashioned silk stockings with seams up the back. ...and one of those little round "beauty marks." Blood red lipstick, of course.
Very important: A true Vile Temptress should positively reek of a high quality perfume.
If you smoke, one of those very long cigarette holders and a silver cigarette case. Of course, no Vile Temptress worthy of her long, obviously fake, eyelashes ever carrys the means to actually light one of her own cigarettes.
A world class Vile Temptress would be accompanied by a fawning male attendant, dressed in a tuxedo, collared and leashed. Whenever the Temptress wishes a drink, she leads her attendant to the bar and says clearly, "John, fetch." When he returns with her drink she says, "John, heel." and leads him to a table. "John, sit." John, of course, is her pet cuckold, not her actual date, whom she will not select until after midnight.

I'd go with a vamp look, plunging neckline that should show but doesn't, daring slits up the side of a long clingy skirt, hinting that with just the right angle you'd see more, high heels, I'd go with sheer black nylons as opposed to fishnets - fishnets aren't tempting.

I picture one of those shiny sorcery type red robe costumes cut really low and kind of tight.
Lots of makeup and glitter on the face and hair.

Long dress - red, low cut and backless, slit to there.
High heels, silk hose - I like the seamed ones for special effect. Eyeshadow, LONG falsh eye lashes, red lipstick, long ciggie holder, expensive perfume
