I see a lot of individuals on this site as pagan Believers. I am a Christian do not intend to switch, but just want to know more about that branch as well. I ahve an acquainatance who is pagan, and she seems fine(i make this comment as most Christians would not even hear u say the word Pagan, Wicca and stuff)

cleaned up his act, got his hair trimmed up nice and neat and shaved off that scruffy beard, stopped hanging around with those hippy friends of his and got himself a nice girlfriend would he not have been better off. Im sure mary and joseph would have been more proud of him anyway. H e could have got a proper job aswell rather than goin around idle everyday....Nobody likes a smelly hippy know it all

my ex boss is a jehovah witness,when i worked with him he kep preaching his beliefs onto me,part of the reason he is my ex boss.a member of my family still works with him and i think if he keeps on going she should seek advise and write a letter of grievance .any thoughts on this one.p.s i have nothing against any religion i just dont like peoples beliefs faused onto people

if the wages of sin is death, and all i want to do when i die is stay dead, then why should i believe in jesus? let's say for a moment that there is a god, and he wants me to have everlasting life, and the only way to do so is by accepting jesus as my savior. however, i don't want to live forever. i only want to make the most of my human life. wouldn't it be wise for me to reject christ then whether i believe in him or not? let's say i'm right and there is no god. then i just die. let's say i'm wrong and i reject jesus. what happens? death. that sounds a lot like what i have coming to me if i'm right. so where's the danger? you can't say i'm going to hell to suffer for all eternity. that sort of punishment would still require me to have everlasting life. but i can't live forever unless i accept jesus as my savior, in which case i go to heaven, which i don't want. am i missing something here?

Christians think life starts at conception, and so the fertilized egg obtains the soul. When the embryo later splits into two, creating identical twins, do they share the same soul?

Now I have a problem for God. My twin brother is a Christian and I am an atheist. My question is: can God tell us apart on judgement day?

for those of you who belive in hell, where is it located? people say at the centre of the earth correct?

so waht happens if one day the human race decides to relocate to another planet such as mars for instance. would hell still be in the centre of earth or would your soul ( if you were a bad person) go to the centre of mars and burn for eternity? lol

You claim to "KNOW" that there is no God. You mockingly compare people of faith with children who believe in Santa Claus or the Tooth Fairy. You speak of a "skydaddy". You have even invented your Flying Spaghetti Monster (who is very cute) in order to compare yourselves with believers.
But, how can you claim to KNOW? OK, you cling to science, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. There is nothing wrong with logic and reason, as you continue to tell us.
But science has only just scratched the surface. Science admits that we don't even know all there is to know about this one planet. We don't know what this solar system may or may not contain, let alone the universe. We certainly don't know what may lie beyond.
Seriously, if you can't KNOW that there is no Creator, how can you logically call yourself an atheist? How are you one bit "better" or "smarter" than those who claim that they do KNOW God?
I'm braced for your mocking, but I would appreciate some serious answers.

Both sides claim that their beliefs / non-beliefs are only strenghtened here by challenges and observances of each other. Is this just a work-out where you stay fit or tone up those flabby Christian/atheist muscles? hi all, before i say what this is i want to let everybody know im not meaning to offend anybody

i was told recently that there was a woman who discuised herself as a man and eventually became pope but was found out when it was discovered she was pregnant and was stoned to death - i was told it was the 4th or 14th or 40th pope (something with a 4 in it i think)

i straight away rubbished it saying nothing like that ever happened but this person is adimant it happened - i think they got there wires crossed as it could be more beleavable that it could have been a priest she was trying to imutate - anyone know anything about this

i think they may just have been saying that because im starting to go back to mass and they are annoyed at it

What caused this change?
The "Vicar of Christ" (Pope) allowed all of this back then. They wrote Papal Bulls allowing torture etc.
Why Not today? What happened?
