I'm a believer who is trying to get out into the mainstream public newly discovered knowledge that I found about the scientific knowledge of God found written down in ancient text that make up parts of The Bible, Torah and The Dead Sea Scrolls. I can't afford to write a book about what I discovered so I am on R&S talking about it and hoping to attrack interest from authors and writers to help me write and or financial help in writing this book or a series of books about this new discovery. Anybody out there interested?

Both groups are no doubt sincere in their beliefs, yet both groups should discard a little egotism and arrogance and take the time to discover a little "Wisdom" and incorporate it into their lives!
Finding faults within others causes nothing more than a weakened state of "Unity", and within the individual it creates a fragmented state of consciousness.

That's why I love it here. I learn much from others on here and I enjoy hearing what they have to say (even though I don't agree with the majority).
I have a site where I go to converse with other Christians www.theblessedresistance.com. It costs to get it in, but it is well worth it. Mainly because someone's not going to pay the fee just to go on there and troll.

Yes, I agree with you.
I think we also talk to people of our own beliefs here
as well.
It might be nice to also have a site just for us - without
some of the annoying comments - to take a break from
it and focus more on a different level of study.
It is a work-out! I agree!

"...would you also like a site where you could communicate with those more akin to your own beliefs..."
Not me. I think only a fool imagines the world is populated with people who agree with him. I like diversity and the fact that each person is unique and has their own opinions.

Well, until the evangelical atheist's on here I never knew that as a Christian I apparently believe the Earth is flat and only 6,000 years old, that I am afraid of science, don't believe in evolution and that I also apparently want a theocracy.
I guess them informing Christians of our supposed beliefs every day could be considered a service.
And since the evangelical atheist's have a self professed higher I.Q. than anybody that has any kind of religious faith, I guess we do them a service by building up their ego's and their belief that they are superior to the rest of us.

I have done both..... been to Christian sites and sites that, like this one, have all kinds...... I guess you could say I come here to tone my Christian muscles...... never thought of it that way, but......... I learn a lot here, from both sides...... When people write a question or answer put in such a way that I have never seen or thought of it prompts me to go and study, just to see where they might have gotten the thought from..... and sometimes I find them right and me wrong...... it happens !! and that is as it should be....... that is how we grow and mature, in spiritual matters and in life...... go in peace....... God bless

As a liberal democrat, I believe in helping my fellow man! That extends to here as well! I hate a bully! I put up with enough of them in school, and they are the biggest waste of time, that there is!
So, if I am aware of someone being a ''bully''' here, by slamming somebody else's church! I will do my best to call them out! But, of course, they are cowards, as they always,''hit and run''!
It is the lowest thing a person, can do to another, by striking at the heart of what they believe!!
Normally I wouldn't interfere, but it p i s s e s me off, to see scum bags hit at another person's church, whether I believe in them or not! I personally do not care what they think, or believe!
Call it a human thing, to stand for what's right!

Some religions discourage the questioning attitude in regard to the soundness of their teachings.
They advise their followers to follow their instructions without examination.
to discuss any religious principle,
Never worry or fear God's anger because He is the God of truth,
He never condemns a person for seeking truth.
On the contrary, the more one seeks the truth and conducts intensive research,
the more he deserves the Divine reward ,

Religionists don't strengthen my atheism/agnosticism. But I do like to tell them how they make me feel with superstitious demonizing of people who aren't believing them.
I have no interest in an atheist discussion group. Atheism is just a lack of belief in deities. I can't think of anything more boring than talking about not believing in something.
Imagine people who don't believe in flying invisible omniscient monkeyfish? Imagine all the people getting together to discuss how they don't see the evidence for it? Yaawn eh?
