Would modern church leaders try to get rid of him from stopping their money making schemes. Surely modern preachers would do the same. Especially those televangelists. i am sure they would lose a couple of viewers.

If Jesus came back, my feeling is, most Christians wouldn't recognize him. I doubt the religious leaders would be running for cover, they would just keep doing what they are doing. If for some reason Jesus began attacking religious leaders for exploiting his message they would then use the media to crucify him backed up with bible verse and scripture references. He would be depicted as a dangerous cult leader and almost everyone would believe them, especially the Christians.

well, probably - i mean look at the Pharisees they were religious but, like some of today's modern religious leaders if Jesus showed up they would lose authority - however most religious leaders are not into to get money

These evangelists would have nothing in common with Jesus. What has always amazed me is that every television evangelist had a CALLING from God and every one of their sons has also had the CALLING. Just in time to take over the reins of a multi-million dollar business. The odds makers in Vegas must have taken a bath.

I would think its more important to know where you or I stand with God. If jesus came came back would I be ready is the question that should be asked. Would my actions and what Im doing glorify Him or not.

Oh yeah. I don't believe in the myth, but if it were true and Jesus did come back, it would be the religious leaders who would crucify him again. It would be great irony.

If a fictional character from a book came to life I would do what I do in any situation of the sort... STOP, DROP AND HIDE FROM THE COPYRIGHT PEOPLE.

SOME of them would. However, not ALL of them are in it for the money.
Not sure about televangelists, though. I think most of them ARE in it for the money.
