I should really ask my husband this who has his BA in Philosophy , but hes sleeping and it just popped in mah head! So did the Greeks really believe in thier gods as actual beings? Did they follow sacrifices/rituals/etc? Ive read some Plato and it all seems pretty humanistic to me, any help is appreciated!

I just wanted to say that of all the non-Abrahamic believers who come on here, I have noticed that the Pagans are usually the nicest and least abusive. You don't seem to have a need to bash us or bait us. I just wanted to say that it is very appreciated, by me at least.

For as long as the debate has gone on there have been those cynics, mainly capitalists with an agenda, who, it is said, pay tame scientists to spread disinformation as to the reasons for extreme weather patterns. These people claim that the vaguaries in the weather patterns is down to natural events i.e. an ice age coming or going.

If they are wrong the rest of us, who are not empowered, and who are mildly panicking for our childrens sake, and who are probably in the majority, will be wiped out, If we are wrong then nothing happens.

There are developing countries where the populations are not being told about climate change for political reasons, but the US is not one of them, instead the propogandists spin their lies and mock, backed up by the religious right who tell their congregations that god is on their side and there is no arguing with a believer especially if it means that their jobs are at stake.

Do our children have any chance of surviving?

For the simple fact that I am a woman.. I can not believe that.. Yes, I know what the bible say and what some have said about this.

But I so can not believe that god would look at me and say 'no, you can not talk about me to a group simply because you are a woman, go find your husband or father'..!

Because of what EVE did is not good enough either..! Adam was suppose to be head of his household and look what he let happan..

When I first started out I persued a wiccan path, mainly because at the time that was the only one I could find anything about. I met some really lovely people and learned a lot, but after about 5 years I came across druidry, which spoke to me much more, although it is very similar in many ways. I have now followed the druid way for about 10 years, and of course as I have learned more I have changed my practices slightly but I believe most of us change as we grow anyway.
How has your path changed, or has it stayed the same all along?
