2 Corinthians 3:17
" And the Lord is the Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is there is Liberty"

How do you understand this verse. We know that the Lord Jesus is Who He is in the Trinity. Here its saying that the Lord IS the Spirit.

This other verse in 1 Corinthians 15:45b
" .. The Last Adam became a Life Giving Spirit"
Some versions incorrectly render the word " Spirit " with a common " spirit" which denotes man's spirit. ... but these two verses speak something of the Lord in a way that is not emphasized much...
Share on your feeling on these verses.. Even give any verses to strengthen your sharing:)

... doesn't God have enough to deal with without you constantly bugging him about your food?

I’ve read enough posts by the R&S atheists to make the fair generalization that *most* say there is nothing after death. A common phrase you use is ‘worm food’.

So, what’s the difference between someone certain of a ‘heaven’ compared to someone certain of ‘nothing’?

How can you be certain that no part of your consciousness exists after you die, when you aren’t aware of every aspect of your consciousness?

Sam Harris says we should listen to what the Buddhists have to say about the levels of our consciousness since they have been studying it for 2600 years. This is a tradition of millions of hours of meditation and they tell us a subtle part of our consciousness *does* continue.

They tell us this subtle consciousness will have horrific and/or delightful experiences during death… so what if this is the Christian ‘heaven’ and ‘hell’…?

But I guess my main question is this; isn’t ‘knowing’ we are worm food just another dogma?

The Gospel of Jesus and Old Testament (Torah): "Guidance and Light"

- Sura 2:87 - And most certainly We gave Musa the Book and We sent apostles after him one after another; and We gave Isa, the son of Marium, clear arguments and strengthened him with the holy spirit,

- Sura 3:48 - And He (Isa/Jesus) will teach him the Book and the wisdom and the Tavrat (Torah) and the Injeel (Christian Gospel).
- Sura 3:50 - And a verifier of that which is before me of the Taurat (Torah) and that I may allow you part of that which has been forbidden t you, and I have come to you with a sign from your Lord therefore be careful of (your duty to) Allah and obey me.

- Sura 5:44 - "Surely We revealed the Taurat (Torah/Bible Old Testament) in which was guidance and light", with it the prophets who submitted themselves....

He presented Himself as the Life giver.. John 10:10 said.. I have come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly"
He also said that He is the Bread of Life. The Living Water.. The Light of Life..The Resurrection and the Life..
So much " Life" to be had through this One.
Why do you believe that the Lord saw Himself as this to man. Not only does He give us eternal Life as something in the end.. This Life that He offers to us is for our day to day Living.
Share some more please on this matter of " Life" and why do you believe the Lord presents Himself to the world in such an edible way...i.e. " bread" "water"

I’m serious; I would honestly like to know why people believe we are not true Christians. We can easily trace our leaders straight to the apostles. Jesus told Paul that what he says is law. Then the whole ‘You are the rock I build my church on’ – to me it’s clear but I do not understand why other people say its not.

Perhaps Im biased, because as an Atheist I cant see how this is possible. I hear people say this all the time on here, and I would just like to know your story. I`m not asking anyone to justify their reasons for becoming a believer. But, how did you go from one end to the other?

Biologist
NEIL deGRASSE TYSON:" While we don't yet know how the spark of life occurred, we can try to figure out where it might have gotten a foothold."

"And because the planet was under such devastating assault from comets and meteors, the leap to life may not have taken place up here on Earth's surface. To take hold, life may have needed a safe haven, perhaps underground."

A team of scientists descends into one of the deepest mines on Earth to investigate whether microbial life can survive far below the Earth's surface

NEIL deGRASSE TYSON: In a makeshift lab near the mine, the team attempts to recreate the environment deep inside the rock. And they have found that these microbes are dining on a variety of strange gases.
