Please explain your answer.

With regards to the previews answers, and for all those who might answer the same, if you happen to see yourself like these after death?
Do you like it that way? What I mean is, Is there something in your life that will make it more meaningful even before or after death?

I try not to imagine myself after death. A rotting corpse isn't a pretty picture to have in your mind, especially if its your own. I just focus on life.

Nothing is really "dead". Death is another stage of life. When anything dies, it transforms into another life form. The body breaks down into its original particles and eventually becomes something else in the process. You will not remember anything but your atomic being is still as lively as ever. The body is just a collection of atomic particles serving one temporary purpose.

A tree is a life form and it lives differently than a human or an animal. Yet when it dies, it goes through the same process.

But I still believe in God because of the existence of those atomic particles that formed the body that breaths the air and came up with this answer. Nothing cannot become something like a particle.

Interesting question at first glance and almost thought-provoking BUT tucked on like a monkey's tail near the end is "Do you like it that way?" *gulp*

I had no idea this method was being employed now to answer philosophical questions - do you like it that way?

Well no I don't like it that way.
I'll tell you what else I don't like: Rap music, getting old, losing my memory, slowing down, the thought of death and leaving ‘life’ behind, country and western music, shredded coconut, people smoking in public places, fundies, murderers, scammers, conmen, religion ... I could go on but I'm sure you get the picture.
There are lotsa things I don't like but I just have to make the most of things cos when the light goes out and I die, within a coupla days they'll burn my body and I will no longer exist but in the memory of those people I've come in contact with.

The soul is an invention of the scammers to have a hold on your life, to be able to threaten you with damnation.
Without a soul they’d have nothing to threaten you with, would they?

I believe and accept that my death is the end of any and all experiences that happen during my life. Nothing complicated or supernatural. Just someone else's turn. No great loss.

There is no existence of the self after death.

Remember what it was like before you were born?

It's like that after death.

I can't see myself after death because.. well.. I'm dead. Can't see after that. Can't feel after that. Can't hear after that.. you get the picture.

What's there to explain? Once one is dead, the body (and the brain) ceases to function.

I have other thoughts on the subject but they're beyond the scope of this question.

I see myself being fertilizer. Hence, I'll be cremated. Nothing mysterious happens after I croak.

If you need an afterlife to justify your existence and give you meaning, your existence isn't worthwhile in the first place. A life should be its own justification for existence.

I do not see myself after death. I'd imagine that I would be either buried or cremated.
