I would say that I'm usually able to discern what is from God and what isn't. I have no special powers or anything like that. Basically if someone who claims to be a Christian is teaching something that goes against the Bible then I run fast from such false teachers. I won't name names but there are plenty on a well known Christian television network that are spreading a false gospel and living in luxury. I'm not saying all the people on this network are false teachers but many are. You just need to allow the Holy Spirit to guide you and ask for wisdom and discernment as to who is a real person of God.

Messengers of God aren't always angels or even the Holy Ghost, but sometimes they're other people. Why would He need to send legions of angels when the guy next door can send the same message? I hope that my eyes and ears are spiritually sensitive, but I might not realize that they are messengers of Him until much later. Anyone who comes with the Spirit is a messenger of God.

Should someone tell me they are a messenger of God I become instantly closed minded...or at least filter minded. Too many peeps out there have caused so much confusion over the ages thinking they have a "word of knowledge" from God about this or that or the other when in fact...the Word of God was given for all of us and only those who are willing to give their all to bring the Gospel to forign regions where another language is required in conditions less than ideal should be called messengers of God. Not these door to door suit wearing, sedan driving, combed over and heavily cologned Bible thumpers who just want you to join their church. I love my Bible and I will share with whom ever needs, wants or is interested in it but I would never assume to be a messenger of God. The Bible is the messenger and that is what Christians, pastors, preachers, teachers and any clergy person should be promoting. Love in Christ, ~J~

God is so awesome in my life, when I was growing up before I knew God, people used to use me and I didn't even notice, because I was such a nice person and a people pleaser, I thought I had to do all that to have friends. Today I am a completely changed person, God has given me discernment and I know right away what is of God and what isn't. I feel that God was tired of people using me up. He protects what belongs to Him. I thank Him for that, some things that I see are so deep until I can see through a person and it almost scares me.

Whenever someone claims to be a messenger of God, I close my ears and my eyes and walk the other way. Some people are so vain.

PS- If God really wanted to tell me something, he could tell me it himself.

This is important if one wants to know the truth by using the Bible as a guide, one can discern what ther real message is and the messengers of God when they come to you.

There are no messengers of God. Why would an omnipotent God need a mouthpiece? He should be able to communicate with each of us directly.

yes...we need to be sensitive...because God often whispers in the storm versus shouts over the silence.

As for "messengers"...well..if a person says they are...I'm going to apply everythin they have to say to Scripture....am not going to fall for "new revelations"....

A true messenger will not contradict Scripture...but as a student of the Master, I need to know Scripture, else, I'm very prone to falling for anything they have to say....case in point...400+ dead listening to Jim Jones, and how many died at Mt Carmel following David Koresh?

I pray to God that they are. Again that free will and our belief that we can "fix" anything is a stumbling block for us. This is something that I ask God each day...."open my ears and my eyes that I might see and hear You and guide my feet that I might follow You".
