Because other people believe in the Bible and they can't for the life of them understand why.

And you expect the people who believe in it to do the questioning?

What do you mean by questioning exactly? If you mean questioning whether it's true or not... well that's not even a question to an unbeliever.
If you mean questioning ideas like "people get their morality from the Bible" then the reason is simple. We question the assumption because there is evidence against it, the fact that most moralities are pretty similar in their basic tenants, that people cherry-pick their morals from the bible rather than taking it all wholesale. The fact that people recognize that many of the old testament laws are brutal whereas most lines from the Sermon on the Mount are basically good shows that we have a standard of morality that exists outside scripture.

People are going to question things when what they would think doesn't match up to what seems to be happening.

If a large group of people professed The Cat in the Hat as the truth, wouldn't you question it to attempt to make the believers see their errors?

Probably because we're over-optimistic about our chances of waking up the dormant intellectual functions in most believers and bring them to their senses.

THE BIBLE IS AN OBSOLETE COMPILATION OF THE MOST TURGID DIATRIBES EVER COMPOSED BY PRIMITIVE MAN.

GOD DOES NOT EXIST.
JESUS DOES NOT EXIST AND NEVER DID.
THE HOLY SPIRIT DOES NOT EXIST.

Use your mind. Think for yourself.

I don't question it at all. What I do question are people who continue to believe in it in spite of all the contradictions and absurdities in it...

People will always question what they don't believe or don't understand. It's part of human nature, I think.

They are just serving their father, Miss Sparky.

Jhn 8:44 Ye are of [your] father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
