If we cared more about our fellow man.

If we loved our neighbors as ourselves, wouldnt there be a whole lot less of the issues mentioned?

Like I said I think they're inside of me. I haven't commited anything, I just have thoughts or tiny actions. Some haven't applied yet but I'm afraid that I'm going to go crazy. They are like phases I'm going through.

These are the ones I have thought about

Lust- I have sexual thoughts about people just for their looks. Sorta passed that stage

Envy - I get envious when like my friends talk to people or when I don't get attention. But almost done going through

Sloth - Right now I feel Tired all the time, Not feeling school. Still playing activitys like tennis and stuff but feeling sad or depressed. I'm on that stage right now.

Greed - Not greedy. (Yet)

Pride - I don't really know the true definition of pride.

Wrath - I get angry cuz of the envy. (Through this stage)

Gluttony - Not a glutton. I'm skinny.

And what suck is that I'm only 14 =D

What should I do?

I know it's an old and boring question, but I haven't yet heard a satisfactory answer. Why did god decide that some people would live in air conditioned condo's and waste food etc, even though they may not pray to him, but others who also have faith, and believe in him must go hungry and face unimaginable disadvantages?

Please do not show me a monotonous lengthy verse from the old or new testament as your answer. Just tell me in your words why your god (whitchever one you pray to) allows these things to happen.

If you say "Those people will get their rewards in heaven" or "They have been evil in former lives", then why are us 'privilaged' people such a s s holes now if we were so good in former lives?

I wrote articles and pamphlets and used a male pen name. The male members of my church would not even read it if it is known that it is written by a woman. But I feel like I have something to contribute and would like to write religious articles or tracts.
The reason I stay in this church is because I really do believe in most of what it teaches. No church is perfect but I think this church is sincere if misguided on this issue.
So, would it be a sin to use a male name or a name like Pat, Francis,Sandy or some other name that could be male or female? I would, of course, have to hide my gender.

Why can't we just say, my faith is in God and his Son, instead of being Catholic, baptist, prodostant, presbiterian?.. I don't even know if I spelled all those correctly. Can any one give a me a good, real answer for this? No sarcasm please.

1. My female friend is from a rich family and my male friend is from a poor family.
2. My female friend owns a condo overlooking a huge lake and my male friend still lives at home with his parents
3. My female friend has a good career job and she owns alot of nice clothes, nice furniture, nice stereo equipment and a really nice car and my male friend is currently unemployed and he doesn't have alot of material wealth.
4. My female friend has inspired me to be more successful out of life and for me to accomplish more out of life and my male friend hasn't.
5. My female friend has a stronger sense of reality and she has greater sense than my male friend.
6. My male friend has a learning disability like I do
7. Both of my friends care about me and they have God and Jesus in their hearts and they've both accepted Christ as their savior.

Several times I've posted about extremist behaviour by a certain type of christian and to my dismay though not surprise even though I thought I had indicated in various posts I am Christian I've had people ask if I was born again or the latest if I have had a "salvation" experience?

For the record I am baptised and confirmed Anglican Protestant tho I do joke about being Zen Catholic.

I do bible study every Sunday and read the Bible in English Greek and Latin and promote the balance of faith and reason.

So fundies and other fanatics why do you think educated moderate female scholars like me are not Christians?

Gee could it be cos I try to use my philosophical training to make people think?

If you think thats Un Christian let me remind you St Paul told people to "Examine Everything".

Why do you think I'm not Christian?

how can you expect other people from other beliefs to believe your claim that the Bible is God's words when you don't even know your own history and how the movement "born again" started?

Most "Born-again" people that I've come to talk to don't consider themselves as Protestants, but in truth they really are because they are just an off-shoot of Protestantism. they even spread Protestant sentiments, yet they don't know, or rather don't want to believe, that they are just an off-shoot of Protestantism.

they say they are the real Christians, but in truth they are just Protestants. whether they like that term or not, they are Protestants just the same.

I just noticed another poster's question about this, and so I'm curious as to what you all think. I'm very interested to hear your responses.

Btw, I also include atheists and agnostics in this question --- I hope that belief system is an okay to word that, I wasn't sure how to say it!

God teaches us in Romans 1:9:

"For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers;"

My question is, how often do you pray for other people?

I am a complete christian now and wasn't before, although God is a far-out idea, I know he exists without a doubt, he has even wok up people from the dead through prayer, and has performed things that definately could not be coincident. I am very open minded, but I know he exists and I have a good relationship with him, what do you think, and by the way yu're a complete idiot if you just all of the sudden without much thought believe he's not real.

i wonder , if the Lord would be on here? seems like people want to argue & run you down. why cant we just ask questions to each other? & encourage one another? &

like when you answer 1 queston & scroll on down & there's more contradictioners & bashers.

Not good for nervous , anxious people i dont think, it's not "fellowship" why is there so much negativity??
is this not a place where people can respect one another?
