God is their judge not me or you. Does giving millions of your billions make you acceptable to God? Can you buy your way into heaven? Does an act of kindness erase sin?

God can have mercy on anyone He chooses to have mercy. Bill Gates, Warren Buffett and Andrew Carnegie will be needing it, I assure you.

Altruism does not equal morality, but I agree with you that most Christians could do a lot worse than following the example set by Bill Gates. The man has done more to unite mankind than the Bible or Christianity ever could, or ever will.

(BTW - WiiVolve - Bill Gates never worked for Apple. He stole his ideas from Xerox. Get your facts straight you fool. And for that matter, both Apple and Xerox stole their ideas from the Amiga, which had a multitasking GUI long before its competition.)

Do us all a favour and dump all religious concepts.
Atheists are no more immoral than anyone else.
Atheists, though, do good things because they sincerely want to and not because there is fear from a non-existent god.

The Vatican is extremely wealthy but do we see them doing anything of any import for the poverty-stricken in, for example, the Philippines? No sign that I can see except, of course, for the continual reinforcement of 'the message'. God will provide? Hasn't so far.

The answer is: what is written in any book does not prohibit one from doing good things. Besides, Do you pretend to know the exact reason for their "philanthropy"?

Using passages, out of context from the bible in attempt to brow-beat someone else - My guess is that you are either an Atheist or a Protestant fundamentalist. Which is it?

It talks about ALL men..
14:1 [To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.] The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
14:2 The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.
14:3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

The Widow's Offering
41Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. 42But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a fraction of a penny.
43Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, "I tell you the truth, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. 44They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on."

I think someone can be completely devoid of faith, and yet have the purest morality. Morality doesn't come from the Bible.

John D. Rockfeller was no Christian.

You only see the build up.

Look behind the curtain.

I don't think you understand the word moral. If you do not believe in the God of Israel, then you do not follow their set of morals, thus making you immoral in their view. Its all about point of view.
