Why do so many people on R&S seem to have trouble using the spell-checker? Are they really that uneducated or just plain lazy? I think if you were trying to convert somebody you'd want to seem like you had half a brain.

I am better understanding the parables now. But is he talking in parables in mark 9:43-48? God sent adam and eve back to the dust, so why does jesus talk of a fire that cant be put out. I see some symbolism to it but would like to know what you think. Also what do you get out of 9:49,50?

Why did God made life hard?People say that there are bad times and good times,ups and downs,but my life has always been bad and down.I know someone cant spend there whole life in depression and sadness there gotta be some happiness to make it worth living.So why did God didnt give me any happiness in life?What's ya'll opinions on this?

Why does god believers ask for evidence (on every thing else, except for god) when they believe in a god, with no evidence?

for example..if someone stole a pack of gum from a mini store and if someone commited adultery. will God count the stealing gum as a little mini offense and just blow it off if we say sorry, or will He be as angry as if someone commited adultery. basically im asking if one sin is worse than another in God's eyes or if there all equally bad. and im not asking for any political views about the law of the USA and stuff. im talking about GOD.

Why did he only appear to his followers (and only a few people who wrote about him)?

He could have appeared to many people simultaneously in many parts of the world who would have written about him and provided some convincing evidence for his divinity. But in fact, we only have Paul's testimony, and the anonymous Gospels (names were added later by the Church) which seem to be written off of the same missing document.

This forms the basis of modern Christianity (the validity of the testimony of the Gospels), but are Christians just trusting the word of a few people?

I love my children unconditionally…I don’t require them to worship me or make animal sacrifices.

If one of my children ate an apple after I told them not to…I would not punish my grandchildren and every generation thereafter

If I someone was harming my children (Satan), and I had the power to stop him, I would stop him.

I would forgive all of my children for any deed. They would not even need to ask.

And "no", I would not sacrifice my only son (have him tortured on a cross) in order to change rules I had written in a book

I did everything right. I worked...hard. I waited...forever. I gave my all...for nothing. I was the best linebacker in my corner of the state, thanks to my work and my drive. Everything was going as planned.

Than I broke my ankle. I'm out for six months. Where is the justice? Why would a God do this to me? Is it because I doubt him? I don't think a truly supreme being would react in such a way.

Recently I spent some time in a very quiet remote area by the ocean. I could hear things: The wind, the birds, sounds of nature, the water. The sound of the wind reminded me of the Holy Spirit, which the Bible says will blow where it will. I wondered if in ancient times people could hear - and see - God more easily in the beauty that surrounded them. Is this something we have lost? Is God drowned out by car horns honking, people screaming at each other, rap music booming, bus engines roaring? Is it hard to hear God through the noise of a Godless civilization we have built for ourselves? It seemed very clear to me when I was in the moment, sitting by that quiet sea. Has anyone else ever experienced this, or thought about this?

Seperating Church and State, Politics and Relgion ?

A roman catholic priests gets up and attempts to promote same gender marriage, seems the individual had always been a homosexual, involved in provincial/state politics in the ministry of justice (probably promoting same gender marraige), seems this politician did the next best thing get within the Catholic Church to try to change it....

Is this not in contradiction of the seperation of Church and State ?

Well, if you do how are you 100% certain it is right???
And do you have proof.
And also.
Since, I am currently learning biology.
If the big bang theory is right.
Then, wouldn't there be no organism or bacteria on earth.
So, how we evolve to become humans with such a intelligent complexed brains. Wouldn't that be Spontaneous Generation when nothing becomes , into something.
If i am correct.

And how do you explain all the miracles and spiritual things that happen???

(Example: my cousin had a brain tumor and they were going to do the surgery & me and my family prayed for 2 hours.
And when they were gonna do the surgery there was nothing there just a healthy brain.)
