1_ the study of religion is important as every one must know who is the God ,the messengers , the holy books, the life ,the death , the rights and duties and you can see if something couldn't convince you after you discuss it with experts in religion and you can look for the truth between religions and beliefs there.

2_the beginning of religion :the God create the world and everything in it including us and when satan start work with humans and begin to move us away from the God and plant the hatred among people ,the God didn't let us and send his angle by messeges from him to certain people in the earth (our messengers) to bode righteous paradise and warns astray from fire and to be witness in the last day.

3_spreading of religion: the messengers told people what the God say and asked them to follow the God who create them and the God don't accept for them to worship their kings or idols and told them that all the people are the same and the God don't differentiate between black and white ,king or slave .
the people who follow their religion in the right way, in their dealing with others , people was asking why they are good? and the answer be as they follow this religion.
All people are slaves of the God alone ,the God create man and moked for his service the other organisms.
Worshiping the God mean to do everything good and not to do everything bad.

It isn't important to study about religion ,, if your NOT interested in worshiping the true God.

But if a person is genuine and wanting to know the truth about such matters , then study is most definitely important., especially when it is study of the Bible.

Because it is through Bible study that we can find the truth about God , and not the ever continuing pagan lies that many believe is truth.

In the beginning with Adam and Eve ,they had a close relationship with their creator Jehovah , but they chose to believe a lie from Gods enemy Satan.
The chose to disobey him and live life they way that they thought was right.

We can easily see what results that has brought to mankind.

This brought imperfection and death to mankind.
But God , because he is loving , has provided a way for us to come to know him and serve him.
If we follow what he says is right , he promised to look after us , and eventually give us the gift of everlasting life on a paradise earth.

Know this, Satan does whatever he can to lead people away from serving Jehovah according to truth.
One way is by providing many religions.

Satan has spread his false religions worldwide with great effect , especially during the time of the Christian crusades , when his followers tortured people into submission.

With so many choices of religions throughout the world , all with their own viewpoints and opinions it is hard to know which is backed by God and one that he is well pleased with.

That is where study of the Bible is most important, for there is only 1 true religion.
The others are tainted by the lies Satan has made to deceive people away from God.
Some common pagan teachings are , the immortality of the soul , hellfire, and the trinity.

Those things God hates , God hates lies , and a person cannot please him if they worship with lies.

Satan hasn't changed , he still wants to lead us away from God and have it cost our lives.

Yes , It is vitally important to study the Bible and follow Jehovah God in the way he approves of because our very lives depend on it.

The study of religion is important in as much as understanding communities of faithful believers self organized around religious belief is important; because they are a part of our world and we deal with them in our every day lives.

Religion begins when somebody decides they have found the best way to make up mind about self and world and go about the business of sharing that way with others.

Religions spread from person to person through a process known as communication.

It's only important in a historical way. Know history so you don't repeat it. This goes for ALL religions. It begins from ignorance.....people want answers to things they don't understand. It spreads like a virus.......

religion is the social glue that keeps a society together. 1.the study of religion has everything to do with our evolutionary process. we need to be able to look back and reflect on our ancestry. 2. it begins at home or is sought out to answer questions of the unknown. 3. propaganda. word of mouth, community functions/aid, and "spiritual rescuing". simple answers to very deep and heavy questions. these are just my opinions.
