I did everything right. I worked...hard. I waited...forever. I gave my all...for nothing. I was the best linebacker in my corner of the state, thanks to my work and my drive. Everything was going as planned.

Than I broke my ankle. I'm out for six months. Where is the justice? Why would a God do this to me? Is it because I doubt him? I don't think a truly supreme being would react in such a way.

Incredibly stupid, eh? How encouraging of you. That's exactly what I need right now.

I'm a 4.0 honors student, lady. I was awarded nationally for my ACT scores when I was in seventh grade. Don't accuse me of lacking intelligence.

I got cancer when I had just finished college, had a new job, lots of debt and two small children. You think that didn't go through my head? First, be glad it's just your ankle and you'll be playing again in 6 months anyway! Don't football players get hurt sometimes?
Plus, are you in school to learn or to play football? Congratulations on your good academics. Whatever happens with your sports career you will have a good education and get a good job as a result, so don't feel to bad for yourself.
(PS: Not saying you are, but if you've ever taken steroids these could be seriously contributing to severe depression, which could even lead to suicide - train natural, dude, it's not worth it.)

Because of the sin nature we have problems in this world. Sometimes it is our body that breaks down. You are still going to be rewarded in some way for being such a hard worker, He will make sure of that. God says He uses everything for our good, even the bad that happens to us. We cannot control everything in our life, some bad always happens. Just put your faith and trust in Him and realize that He has control and knows how to make good come out of our life. I had to go through an illness that lasted 5 years. I would never want to suffer like that again, but God has turned it into a blessing for me. Keep your eyes and heart on Him.

Welcome to the real world (not the fantasy of religion). My mother was a strict Christian her entire life. She died a painful death from breast cancer. The explanation I got was that God was calling her back. Then why not give her a brain annurism which is instant instead of making her suffer?....I got a grant for tuition for college & worked 2-3 part time jobs while carrying a full credit load.. .I graduated with a B average. I was a mail carrier for almost 20 years. I broke my ankle 5 years ago and now have osteoarthritis in it. If I hadn't gone back to work (on a street route) after breaking it, I wouldn't be out on disability now.

God didn't do it satan did. Take this time to learn some thing about spiritual warfare. Joyce Meyer, TD Jakes, I don't know there is alot of resources in the Christian book store about spiritual warfare and the powers of darkness attacking Christians. I'm very sorry about what happened. I do understand I have had similar things happen to me and I"m a Christian. Achieve great things and have it kicked out from under you. It comes down to when you believe God through things like that you end up restored and having more faith than ever before. Again I am sorry and I do have compassion on you but it wasn't God doing this to you. He is into blessing.

Jesus knows how you feel for sure. :)

You are strong. You need to know that no matter what is thrown at you you can handle. Life is about living. and that means taking the bad with the good.

Now I don't believe in God but I can tell you, One day you will look back and be happy this happened because it sent you down another path. It is just life, live with it.

would you thank him every day if your ankle never broke? No.so why blame him now that it is broke?

I just don't get how EVERYTHING bad that happens is satans fault and everything good is gods...dont you think some things are just natural?

This is really what causes me to question my own faith because since the time of mesopatamia, people have always used god/gods to use as a source for blame...everytime the nile wouldnt flood it was gods doing and everythime the niule would it was the devils fault...im starting to think religion is just a severe case of the blame game

God doesn't owe you any favors. And if you want a pity party because you have a broken ankle, then you're not as tough as you think. Go take a walk thru the childrens ward in a hospital for the terminally ill. You should be ashamed of yourself!

Hun, God didn't do that to you, It's called life. Bad things sometimes happen. God gets blamed for alot of things he had nothing to do with. He blesses, Doesn't curse.

There are people in this world that have done GREATER things than you are BRAGGING about. Maybe if you thought of others more than just You,things would be better!! Some have been laid up for life & don't complain like you have!

I drove myself mad thinking that my unhappiness was because God was displeased with me. It isn't an easy thing to accept that, yes, He exists, and cares, yet he allows "all this suffering" to take place. But take comfort in knowing that it isn't all necessarily because of something. It just be like that sometimes.
