Why does god believers ask for evidence (on every thing else, except for god) when they believe in a god, with no evidence?

They have evidence, yet someone is always in denial of it.

The problem is not belief without evidence, it is belief in spite of counter evidence. Here are some examples:

1) A good deity would produce a universe that has predominately good effects on the entities in space/time. Even if we accept the idea of Satan, the universe would then sometimes be slanted toward good, sometimes bad. The evidence suggests the universe is neutral.
2) Though not all forms of deity worship are exhausted in the Abrahamic belief structures, none of those beliefs are tenable given the incoherence of the texts themselves (Torah, Bible, Koran, etc.)

etc., etc.

The bible is just as much a history book as any other history book. History books are based on the accounts of eye witnesses who where there to see certain events that accrued years ago. How do you know that military officer John Bankhead Magruder is responsible for the recapture of Galveston Texas in early 1863? Were you there? NO, you were not, but it is in history books, because of eye witnesses who were. Just as the twelve apostles were eye witnesses of Jesus Christ. Therefore our bible is all the evidence that we need to know that God is real. †

I suppose that the question posed in this way is rhetorical. I think that from a strictly objective point of view, theology is lacking in the concrete evidence one demands in order to believe something beyond doubt (i.e., to see it for one's self). But, in that event, so are theories that people present as being essentially devoid of religion (evolution, for example).

God is a Spirit and the Spirit of righteousness, love and truth

The above words are invisible you cannot touch, see them, the same as a spirit, we can only give energy to them,
then they are tangible.. and these words exist and are real

as long as there is righteousness, love and truth on earth God exists and lives in the heart of His people.

Well, similarly, we don't really have any evidence that God doesn't exist. It's just that we assume it's more logical and blah blah blah but really, there is no real hard 'evidence' either way.

Well, y'all are always extolling the virtues of scientific evidence and data, so when you make a claim, I want to see proof.
You started it, friend, by saying that you believe in nothing unless you have evidence. Are you changing your story now?

What makes you think we have no evidence? Chrisitianity is not based on blind faith, there are very good reasons for belief.
