It sounds like you are being bombarded! I will pray for you. Jesus said in this life we would have tribulation, but fear not I have overcome the world. Your profile Say's you love God, so by your question it's apparent you have been in a trial for a long long time. Put on a garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. Joy is comming :>)

Well if you believe in the bible... god said he cursed everything. So from right there he made things hard. But humans are the ones who make things worse. Think of a tribe living deep in the forest. The live, they work, they die together. All one big happy family. Humans try to do everything perfect and by doing this, they create wars, famines, disease etc. I think everyone has to take blame. Cause at some point we have all done things that make life hard, for either us, or someone else.

I will try to answer this now remember i am not religious but i have a religious answer for you regardless if I am Wiccan.

a man is standing on his rood as a river is flooding his town so he prays to god for divine intervention. A few minutes later a boat arrives offering him a lift. He says NO saying that the Lord will save him with divine intervention. The water rises higher and again he prays for intervention. a few minutes later a raft approaches and he again denies the help saying that the Lord will save him. Well the fellow dies.

Now dead he is waiting his turn to speak to god and when it comes he asks God why did you allow me to drown? God replies" I sent you a boat and a raft didn't they arrive?"

My point is that you cannot blame god for lifes problems in my opinions. Humans have FREE WILL. Whether you are a believer or not is irrelevant here. Human nature has free will period and because of that we have to take more contol of our own destinies and not wait for riches and such to fall in our lap. WE have to work for it. Very few are lucky enough to be born into it. That is not divine, that is just good fortune in my eyes. Some may say it is divine, I am not going to debate that.

So I hope this makes some sense to you, if your life is down, do not blame it on god, take action and do something about it and make your life a better one. Yes you are correct we all have our ups and downs and that is just life. SO you see I being a Wiccan can still answer a Christian question without bashing or being rude or condescending.

I think most Christians believe in this also, that you have to take action and control of your own decisions and life.

No matter how bad you think it is, it can always get worse.

If you think God is ultimately responsible for your happiness you are fooling yourself.
God is not a trained puppy designed to give you everything.
If you think you are in bad times then that is where you will be.
A lot of the component is attitude in a situation and yes faith.
It really depends on what you really want. Are you just dreaming or actually working on a dream?

It's because of Adam and Eve eating from the Tree of Wisdom and because Abel killed cain or the other way around and because of these two acts God then made life hard for us.

Humanity was originally intended to live in perfect paradise with God, but the entire world lapsed into a fallen, broken state when Adam & Eve sinned against God. Now there are forces of chaos, destruction, and decay at work in the world.

If you believe in Jesus, you have a Help and a Hope, but even Christians don't live in a bed of roses. God does not give us immunity from all of life's bad circumstances.

I think this is because
1) He doesn't want people to turn to worshiping Him just for the sake of getting an easy life; He wants people to actually love Him and value obedience to Him because they love Him, and
2) God uses our trials and sufferings to work on our character and strength of faith. It is in the hard times that we tend to grow the most spiritually.

That being said, God does not intend for us to live a life of complete misery. It is the thief, satan, who comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. God delights in our victories and joys.

So the question becomes, what might you be doing to hinder the flow of God's blessings in your life? Not everything bad is caused by people's wrong choices; some things are out of our control, and tragedy can strike anyone; but we do have a measure of responsibility for how we act and react in life.

I recommend that you watch &/or listen to Joyce Meyer's shows. She was abused as a child and had an unhappy first marriage, so she understands pain. She teaches Christians how to "Enjoy Everyday Life." Her teachings have been extremely helpful to me and millions of others around the world.

Also, consider checking with a doctor to see if there might be a chemical cause for your depression that could be helped by medication. Ask if your doctor expects you to need this temporarily or permanently. And keep in mind you never know what God might do, so don't rule out complete, supernatural healing as a possibility. But don't be ashamed if your body needs the help of medication. Maybe you do; maybe you don't; it depends on the type of depression. We are tri-part beings: spirit, soul, and body; and each of these can affect the other.

Are you feeding yourself spiritually? Read the Bible, have fellowship with other Christian believers, sing worship songs, listen to Christian music, watch and listen to Christian programs. Are you feeding on positive things? Watch uplifting movies; find things that make you laugh; cultivate positive relationships with people.

Guard your tongue; it is so easy to speak negatively, but this is like a rudder that steers a ship. Speak positive words of life to go in a positive direction. For more about this, read Joyce Meyer's book, "Me and My Big Mouth!" (Not an insult; it's the title of her book, which I have read repeatedly.) Another excellent book of hers is "Battlefield of the Mind."

I have had a hard life, too, in some ways.

It is all in your attitude. You can choose to look for good or to dwell on the bad.

Look for things to be happy about. Do something good for others. That will make you happy.

In the Bible Jesus said that to get to heaven we have to have even downs, as you call it, in our lives. When lives are good all the time the people usually forget about God and Jesus and only think of themselves. When negative things happen then people think more of God. Also Jesus said that we needed to have lives with neg./hard seeming things in it, for God. If we are attacked or crucified for God and Jesus will get us to heaven the easiest. Read your Bible.

He didn't , we did.
Man wasn't satisfied with knowing good only, he had to disobey God and know both good and evil.
Now you know evil.. Come out of depression, Jesus will give you a new life and an eternal life and this life eventually will be over and after that "no more evil" as God intended in the beginning..
