Why did he only appear to his followers (and only a few people who wrote about him)?

He could have appeared to many people simultaneously in many parts of the world who would have written about him and provided some convincing evidence for his divinity. But in fact, we only have Paul's testimony, and the anonymous Gospels (names were added later by the Church) which seem to be written off of the same missing document.

This forms the basis of modern Christianity (the validity of the testimony of the Gospels), but are Christians just trusting the word of a few people?

No Edge, it is the TESTOMONY of a few that over 500 saw him. You are just taking their word for it.

Because this way he can reward us for our gullibil,... I mean "FAITH!" He can reward us for our faith. If he proved himself without a doubt, thus saving billions from eternal hellfire, what would be the fun of THAT?

Sheesh!

a million. However, this I say, brothers, that flesh and blood are not able to inherit God's kingdom, neither does corruption inherit incorruption. 1Corinthians 15:50 two. Do no longer surprise at this, considering the fact that the hour is coming wherein all the ones within the memorial tombs will pay attention his voice and are available out, folks who did well matters to a resurrection of existence, folks who practiced vile matters to a resurrection of judgment. John five:29 And I have desire towards God, which desire those guys themselves additionally entertain, that there's going to be a resurrection of each the righteous and the unrighteous. Acts 24:15 three. When the Son of guy arrives in his glory, and the entire angels with him, then he'll sit down down on his wonderful throne. And the entire countries will probably be amassed earlier than him, and he'll separate men and women one from an additional, simply as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. Asian legend says that Jesus did not die on the cross but survived the execution attempt by his perfected yogic power and traveled east ending up in modern day Kashmir. His tomb is still there. Maybe he was resurrected at this point. I am not sure but he appeared to be a normal living human being during these years after the crucifixion.
He was supposed to have lived to the age of 80-something. There are monuments to him all over Turkey, Iraq, Persia, Afganistan, Pakistan, Nepal, Tibet and India. They tell when he was there and what he did. In one case he actually built a temple for a minor king that supported him. This temple still stands. Apparently he did appear to a lot more people than it mentions in the Bible accounts. They called him Yuz Aseph (Isa son of Joseph)

probably because salvation is from the Jews for the world...
the gospel went form Jerusalem to Judea to Samaria to the rest of the world

anonymous and late...NOT
actually since the gospels and epistles do not mention the fall of Jerusalem in 70 AD or the deaths of Peter, Paul or Luke in the 64 ad time from it is reasonable they were written before that and early and while eyewitnesses to the events were around to confirm or deny them

there is no one at that time who doubted the tomb was empty

there are at least 7 ancient sourses outside the BIble saying Jesus died and we have the immediate successor of Peter and the immediate successor of John the apostes and have much of theri writings and their teachings so... the teachings are hardly late and hardly lost

not only were more than 500 people eyewitnesses, but at least two skeptics not inclined to believe - Paul and James the brother of Jesus and they both changed their positions

The Mormons should be chiming in here, at least that would cover the Americas.

Now look at the Old Testament and the Israelites, God's chosen people out of a world of not-chosen people. Apply that to today's world, and same principle, God does not owe anyone salvation, and He can select who He wants in His kingdom. Yes, that means predestination belongs to God too. Jesus didn't say "many are called, all are chosen."

As a Christian I know Jesus is real because I feel him in my heart, I see him working all around me, I volunteer at the local hospital, I see God working all the time, miracles happen everyday, we must believe by faith, have faith in the Holy Spirit that is in your heart, read more, prayer more, draw nigh unto God and he shall draw nigh unto you, Yes he could have appeared to many, but he wanted Christianity to start at Jerusalem and go to the utter most parts of the earth, He wanted all his disciples to carry the Gospel starting at Jerusalem, to the Jew first, but also to the gentile, Praise the Lord, Jesus was no respector of persons, someone like me can get saved and become a follower of Jesus by his grace and mercy. I have been grafted in. Remember, Jesus said that you must be born again, have you ever been saved, have you been born again, you can right now, just say this simple prayer and everlasting life canbe yours, just say Dear Jesus, I know and confess that I am sinner in need of salvation. I believe you died on a cross at calvery and arose from the grave to wash away my sins, I ask you right now to come into my heart and save me, I pray this Prayer believing in the name of Jesus Amen. If you prayed this prayer with a sincere heart you are now a child of God, rejoice that your name is written in the Lambs book of Life. If you have any questions just send me an email, God Bless YOU!

God spoke about all kinds of things. One thing He was most descriptive of is that it just didn't matter what other people thought about as 'being fair'.

One of the things God also talked about is the spreading of the Gospel throughout the world. It was up to certain people to do that, those that God chose to do it. God picked the people, and where they went, and what was allowed to happen, and who heard it.

So please, don't be too concerned, there are many who have heard it heard it and reject it, and there is no reason to believe that it won't be the same elsewhere. God knows certain people as being one's who He wants. All the others simply weren't in the plan. Romans 9 will tell you much about this.

If Jesus had appeared in another place, he would have also explained who he was and why it was important that he appeared..
When he appeared to the Jews they already knew the facts and the significance of why it was important..
Preaching this gospel then was handed to the Apostles and disciples that they made..
Christians are trusting the WORD of God..

I think he did appear to others, I think he appeared to the Indians (Native Americans) and some got a hold of the truth about him they just called him a different name. the spirit of truth is drawn to people who want and desire truth, period. If you hate the truth and love a lie that's what you will get. :) This is why many Native Americans when presented with the actual true gospel and not "RELIGION". the gospel rings true with them. The Holy spirit has already prepared them.

Krishna never appears to the Christian because He is not the Christian idea of God. Also Jesus never manifests to the Hindu for the same reason. Observe the power of the Mind for it is the main concern here. Let not the mind color all that "IS", from your sight.
