You think they would be nice back sometimes, after all I explain their doctrines to them so they can better understand how to answer atheists. For example " why did god wait to a certain time to make people?" and I say well, you ever see a math symbol for infinity? it is an endless loop so anywhere in that figure could theoretically be the beginning. So , do they show their love and warmth to me, or do they continue to tell me about how my weinie is going to roast in the fires of Hell, which scares me because I know everything tastes just like chicken there, and they play Barry Manilows greatest hits on an endless loop.

That atheists don't get in because when they die, they are put in charge of running the universe?

Hey, god only wants the best and brightest helping him :-)

Everyone else he puts into an eternal coma of bliss.

I have to say, a reward like that just might make me a believer.

Think about it first: people were persecuting and attacking in the days of old and all the way through middle ages and wild west days.
When you answer please say why or why not. If you say it's the same, please say when you think it will get worse, if at all.

I know that there is no right or wrong decision in the world. I believe that we are free to do anything we wish to do in the world as long as we can survive it. We have come to believe that there is a right to everything because of religion, government, and society and its cultures. How did the concept of right and wrong begin? Who were the pioneers of it?

I believe in order for the enemy to have it, then that ability had to be given to him and his minions by a much more superior entity, The One Who Created us and the angels.

I have this relative who is a Christian. She believes in God everything is possible. But she gossips around and ask his father to sustain their financial needs(her 4 children) whenever he forgets to give her allowance. She believes she knows it all and yet she upsets her father by puting importance on her mislead faith. What is her problem? When you dont give her money she will be upset though. When their is a job offer to her , sho wouldn't accept it saying she won't have time with her children.and she gossips everyone around while in their backs. Is that a Christian. Criticizing non-christians? beleiving "giving to the less fortunate ones"

There is some group that believes so strongly in equality that they practice touching the feet of inferiors, e.g., a father has to touch the feet of his children. What is the name of this group?

THE WALL lyrics by Kansas.

I'm woven in a fantasy, I can't believe the things I see
The path that I have chosen now has led me to a wall
And with each passing day I feel a little
more like something dear was lost
It rises now before me, a dark and silent barrier between,
All I am, and all that I would ever want be
It's just a travesty, towering, marking
off the boundaries my spirit would erase

To pass beyond is what I seek, I fear that I may be too weak
And those are few who've seen it through to glimpse the other side,
The promised land is waiting like a maiden that is soon to be a bride
The moment is a masterpiece, the weight of indecision's in the air
It's standing there, the symbol and the sum of all that's me
It's just a travesty, towering, blocking out the light and blinding me
I want to see

Gold and diamonds cast a spell, it's not for me I know it well
The treasures that I seek are waiting on the other side
There's more that I can measure in the treasure of the love that I can find
And though it's always been with me, I must tear down the Wall and let it be
All I am, and all that I was ever meant to be, in harmony
Shining true and smiling back at all who wait to cross
THERE IS NO LOSS

And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light 'day', and the darkness he called 'night'. And there was evening, and there was morning - the first day
[Genesis 1:3-5, NIV]

Do you believe that there might be a correlation between the Big Bang and these verses?

Let's face it. Before the universe we know was created, it was dark and without form. When God spoke light into existence, it came from that darkness - almost like an explosion.

Thoughts? Comments?
(Keep them kind please, or you'll be reported.)

All she said was "a lot of people come up here and thank Jesus for this award. I want you to know that no one had less to do with this award than Jesus."

She was just telling the truth, Jesus didn't win the award, she did. Is that too much for the jesus freaks to handle? Your imaginary friend doesn't really exist?

God + power + divinity + creation + man = God. God = man. Man =

power. Power = creation. Creation = humanity. Humanity = religion.

Religion = God. God + humanity + religion + power = That we are all

in God and that we are all his personalities and his thoughts. This

concept = The world is his mind and what we see is his thoughts

and this world is an illusion. When we die, we come out of his mind

and join him in real time if he wants us. In his mind our bad thoughts

= the devil, therefor when we die he pushes the bad thoughts or

bad personalities out of his mind and keeps only the good ones.

This whole thing = The rapture and means that God is battling to

keep the bad thoughts that we create in his mind completely out.

This is the truth about our universe and God. This world and

universe of ours is not real for it is in God's mind. Now, that being

it seems like there's alot of defensive tone and hostility undertone in people's answers/comments. so when anyone asks a general question about your religion, your first reaction is to think that the questions are done out of mockery?! that says alot about your priorities in what you (suppose to) believe in. you're more focused on your self-esteem and insecurities, basically your "self" than your faith/religion. when did god need you to be his lawyer. the tensions are between human beings, not you & god versus the world. and to put yourself in that tension is not very christian-like for your soul or the people you're bickering with. where's the love?

I hope everyone has had a chance to see the latest "Our Kingdom Misery" for Sept 2007 with the "Question Box" (really propaganda) written expressely "for JW eyes only" (LOL). The Guverning Buddy is clearly in panic mode trying to prevent the Jehovahs Witness rank & file from thinking and ESPECIALLY posting... like they will do right here in a few minutes.

As a Christian, I've always wondered about this, and I want to know what you think:

A man lives on an isolated island in a tribe that's had little change in a thousand years.
He lives an incredible life- he's kind to EVRYBODY, helps any one in need, and always considers other people before considering himself.
Then... he dies. (naturally.....)

He never had an opportunity to hear about Christ... No missionaries were ever able to come and teach him! He only knew what was taught to him on the island.

Does he go to heaven?

This doesn't just apply to islanders... any one who hasn't even had the opportunity to be saved, but they still live completely wonderful, righteous lives.

Do they go to heaven?

What would you do if you died and Allah, or Zeus, or Bob the builder was up there, a very unhappy camper with you?

Just curious.

what is "saved?" someone told me I won't go to God when I die b/c I have not been saved and wasn't baptized. I beleive in God and I pray and stuff. I read something online a few years ago that said to repeat it out loud it was accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior. I repeated it out loud - does that mean I'm saved or not. Also i am non denominational am I still a Christian or not?
