Mine lets you think as you wish, rather than as some dusty old book tells you to. Mine doesn't care whether you believe in anything or not, and will never try to send you to some eternal torture chamber for not agreeing. Mine calls it as it is, rather than as we'd like it to be. Come to think of it, mine doesn't exactly qualify as a cult! Does yours? You know the answer, but probably won't give it.

Did I not tell you earlier that a Jew is such a noble, precious jewel that God and all the angels dance when he farts?---Martin Luther (Germany)

“What then shall we Christians do with this damned, rejected race of Jews?
First, their synagogues should be set on fire, and whatever does not burn up should be covered or spread over with dirt so that no one may ever be able to see a cinder or stone of it. And this ought to be done for the honour of God and of Christianity, in order that God may see that we are true Christians.
Secondly, their homes should be likewise broken down and destroyed.
Thirdly, they should be deprived of their prayerbooks and talmuds in which such idolatry, lies, cursing and blasphemy are taught.
Fourthly, their rabbis must be forbidden under threats of death to teach anymore.” – Martin Luther

“If I find a Jew to baptize, I shall lead him to the Elbe bridge, hang a stone around his neck, and push him into the water, baptizing him with the name of Avraham!.. I cannot convert the Jews. Our lord Christ did not succeed in doing so; but I can close their mouths so that there will be nothing for them to do but to lie upon the ground.” – Martin Luther

“I hope I shall never be so stupid as to be circumcised; I would rather cut off the left breast of my Catherine and of all women.” --- Martin Luther

“If we are to remain unsullied by the blasphemy of the Jews and not wish to take part in it, we must be separated from them and they must be driven out of the country.” – Martin Luther

Jesus did not call them Abraham's children, but a "brood of vipers" [Matt. 3:7]. Oh, that was too insulting for the noble blood and race of Israel, and they declared, "He has a demon' [Matt 11:18]. Our Lord also calls them a "brood of vipers"; furthermore in John 8 [:39,44] he states: "If you were Abraham's children ye would do what Abraham did.... You are of your father the devil. It was intolerable to them to hear that they were not Abraham's but the devil's children, nor can they bear to hear this today.------Martin Luther

Learn from this, dear Christian, what you are doing if you permit the blind Jews to mislead you. Then the saying will truly apply, "When a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into the pit" [cf. Luke 6:39]. You cannot learn anything from them except how to misunderstand the divine commandments...------Martin Luther

St. John Chrysostom: “I know that many people hold a high regard for the Jews and consider their way of life worthy of respect at the present time... This is why I am hurrying to pull up this fatal notion by the roots ... A place where a whore stands on display is a whorehouse. What is more, the synagogue is not only a whorehouse and a theater; it is also a den of thieves and a haunt of wild animals ... not the cave of a wild animal merely, but of an unclean wild animal ... When animals are unfit for work, they are marked for slaughter, and this is the very thing which the Jews have experienced. By making themselves unfit for work, they have become ready for slaughter. This is why Christ said: “as for my enemies, who did not want me to reign over them, bring them and slay them before me’ (Luke 19.27).”

Do you think heaven is segregated by which religion and denomination people are? Muslims, Jews, and Christians all believe in the same God of Abraham with different versions on how to get into heaven. Denominations have different teachings on the matter also. Does it stand to reason that with all these differences heaven will have to be segregated to accommodate all?

What if you are born in a non English speaking nation? Let's say you are Russian and all you can speak or read is Russian. Obviously you will not be able to read the King James Bible because it is an English Language version. So are you doomed if you can not read the King James version?

The "Scuola Metafisica"--Metaphysical School--of Modern Italian painting attempted to allow actual visual impression of the mystical, at least within the reference of the artist's creation for the viewer. Dominated by the painter De Chirico, the School made a dynamic contribution to early to mid-twentieth century modern art.

De Chirico's work may be described as dreamlike, but to me the use of mannequins and empty space produces a feeling of sterility, not spiritual connectedness. Carlo Carra and Giorgio Morandi appear a bit more accessible to me, but spiritual aspects of the school as a whole are lost on me. As an Atheist, perhaps I am lacking in some capacity to glean this experience from a painting, even if such a painting self-consciously tries to produce it.

What do you think? Did the "Scuola" manage visual innovation & spiritual insight, or simply a variation on the theme of light & shadow in more modern interpretation? Is appreciation for such limited by self/belief?

I'm getting quite annoyed of hearing people say "all religions are the same" or "all religions are great" or "all religions get you to heaven". To relativists, do you have any substancial proof behind these statements?

If all religions are the same, then why does it matter which one you choose? If all religions are the same, why do they preach completely different doctrines? Why do many religions say that only their religion will get you to heaven?

The best analogy is that of the chair. Either it is here, or it isn't. It can't be both. Either Christianity is right or Atheism is right or Islam is right. It can't be all three. And if you're molding your religion to say whatever you want like some of the statements above, is it really a religion or your own personal beliefs in another entity?

Here is what I think: I have been raised as an orthodox jew and have been essentially secluded from the outside world. That is exactly why I am 19 right now and I am still a virgin. I am pretty much apathetic to religion right now, and if anything, I am more of an atheist than a theist. The problem is that I am suffering right now to change the way I was raised. I believed that I was fed propaganda which I never chose to be a part of.

So my proposal, my stance, my question is the following: Do you agree with me that children should be raised in a very neutral and objective manner and when they grow up they can choose their own path? What's the point of feeding them information which they can't validate or discredit? It's really not doing them a favor, and if anything, it might harm them.

All thoughts on this are welcome.

Let me tell you somethin, Hitler was as REAL of a Christian as you are. He claimed faith in YOUR god and YOUR Jesus. So how can you claim he was not a Christian?

Will LaHaye & Jenkins be "Left Behind"?

As well as all of the other big Christian multi-millionares that are peddling the Gospel of Christ for a buck?

I hear so many of my fellow Christians praise so many of the big money makers as wonderful men and women of God, yet I still can't seem to find one Bible passage in the New Testament where Jesus peddles the Gospel for a buck!

I did find this though:

Acts 8:18-20 "And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money, saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost. But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money."

I'm sorry for going off earlier today. It's just that we as Muslims are told that it's the fault of every single one of us, including babies, for what happened years ago. Muslims don't hold the crusades or any other history against entire groups, and the majority of us condemn what the extremists did and are doing. I should not have lumped everyone together like that. I apologize to those I offended. I am only human, afterall. Generally I'm a very accepting person. Anyone of any belief/nonbelief can be my friend if their personality is good. My best friend is an atheist and she's just awesome, and we'd jump to defend each other even if we didn't agree with what each other said. Same goes for any other person who I call my friend. They know who they are. And yes, Kerilyn and Tash, you are included because you've wondered before about this.

Again, I apologize. I was out of line for my words.

Jesus was the last Israelite Prophet. If his message was truly for all the world then he would NEVER have said (even once) that he came only for one group of people…….. unless he really was sent only to the Israelites.

If he was sent to all the world then he would have said he had come for the whole world from the moment he started preaching.

(Matt 10:5-6)--- Jesus sent out these 12 after giving them instructions: "Don't take the road leading to other nations, and don't enter any Samaritan town. Instead, go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

(Matthew 15:24) He (Jesus) replied, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel."

(Matt 18:11) "For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost."
