I know my kids and family will remember me...both for good and bad I am sure.
But I want to be remembered by the people that wouldn't seem to remember me....the people I impacted in a small way.
I work with kids and I have some kids that I worked with 9 years ago when I first started. Some of these kids remember me for what others would think are silly reasons.
I have one kid who has Asperger who remembers me so well for teaching him to write his name.(in cursive...producing a signature) Some day I imagine he is going to have a job and need to sign his checks...so this means something to him. I think he remembers the fact that I took notice that this was important to him and worked on it. ( I later found out his dad signs his name with just a "J" so I can see why this meant a lot to this kid)
When I work with kids I have set goals that I am told to work on but I always ask the kid "What do you want to get out of this"...I find it shocking that I am one of very few that actually asks kids what they want...what they want to accomplish. I want to be remembered for the person who actually gave a crap.

I want this read at my eulogy: Well party people, it was a great ride. I leave you all with a smile and and a wave of the hand. I did my best as a mother. God is saying I made my mistakes, he's standing next to me....but I did a good job. My boys are good people with good hearts. I leave knowing that they will carry on my legacy of goodness, honesty and that kind of attitude that can only come from me. I did my best as a friend...I love them all like my family. I hope you can look up at the stars and smile...i'll be up there somewhere....givin the angles hell...in heaven. I am sorry for those things that I never got a chance to make up for. If I hurt anyone....it was all in life...It happens....but know this, I have no regrets. Everything unique is remembered. And to all of you remember this....When it's time to go......then ride off into the sunset on the badest horse you can find....black of course.....Peace Out! (That's how I want to be remembered)

i want to be remembered as a person who stood for the truth, no matter how disgusting or disguised it was, a person who understood the equality of all mankind, and did his best to ensure freedom, justice, truth and happiness for all of my fellow man. some people wont acknowledge the truth and that is there decision, but if they want to know it they should be given that right.
even to die fighting for that is somethin people never forget about you, and your name lives forever just like jesus (he did his best to help his fellow humans so i respect him in some ways even though i dont follow the religion.), ghandi, martin luther king jr., and john lennon. these are a few of the many people who faught for a better world and there name will live forever. what better way to be remembered than by being a person who cared, loved, and faught for everyone?
that is how i would like to be remebered even though it probably wont happen.

I hope I'm remembered as a compassionate person. A person who was loving and that showed in my life with my family, friends and my work. I hope I'm remembered as someone who brought a spark of light and life to those around me.

I want to be remembered as a loving husband and dad. I want to be remembered as a loving son, and tax paying citizen of good standing.
I want to be remembered for living my life to the fullest, and having been reasonable in my beliefs, not to have believed in boogeymen, fairies or gods.

That I loved the Lord God with all my heart! That my heart was tender and merciful to those I met along life's road. That I really cared for all and for their salvation.
A woman who surrendered to God and used my talents, that HE so richly gave to me, for His glory!
A woman who gave to the poor and cared for the dying.
A true woman of God!
