Just talk to him like you would a friend who loves you a lot. You can tell Him that you don't know what to say, He will understand.
It would be helpful if you get and easy to read Bible like the Today's New International Version or The Message. Later you can get a more scholarly Bible but if you are really new at it is good to have a large overview of the bible.
You also should get involved with a small group situation, small house church, bible study, Christan coffeehouse or something like this. Sign up for any teachings or talks that you can go to.

If you have a bible try to read it daily. Start with the book of Matthew in the new testament.
Romans 10:17
Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.
The Bible is the word of Christ and your faith will increase as you read it. There is no right or wrong way to pray. Just speak from your heart. The first thing to do is accept Jesus as your personal Savior and ask him to come into your heart.
Ask him to forgive your sins and be the Lord of your life. You can say out loud. : D

When you pray you are speaking to God, He is there just like you are speaking to a friend. You say what you feel in your heart, and If you feel compelled to ask the lord into your heart, acknowledging that he died on the cross for your sins, just say that. Just know that god loves you, and he will never ever put you through anything you cant handle There is no " proper" way to pray. If you have a relationship with Christ, it is like having your friend there no matter what no matter where. it is a truly wonderful feeling

hey.. :) i think it's totally awesome that you're willing to ask questions like this. first thing.. believing God and believing in God are two different things. you know, like, it's one thing to believe a rumor is going around your school. it's a different thing to believe in the rumor.. that it's true.
here's a really fast snippet of what the bible says about how to believe. it goes waaaay back. God is perfect. and He can't be around sin. every single person in the world has sinned. sin breaks our connection with God. (check out romans 3:23 in your bible). so here's what God did. He loved you so stinking much, that He decided He would make a way for you to be with Him. so He sent Jesus, His son, to die on the cross for you. Jesus came to earth, and He didn't sin. that way, He could die on the cross and take all of your sin. cool, huh? (john 3:16) when you realize how awesome that gift is, you just have to acknowledge it. accept the gift. say you get a gift certificate for christmas.. by knowing it's there, you don't get the gift that's on the other side. you have to take the gift. it's the same way with Jesus. He died on the cross, and when you accept that He took all your sin and ask Him to forgive you, there's no more sin there! that means God can be with you. (romans 6:23) and you have life forever with Him. even cooler. :) by the way, that doesn't mean you won't sin anymore. but you can ask for forgiveness, and He'll forgive you again and again!
by accepting that gift and asking Christ to come into your life (romans 10:9-10).. you can talk to God whenever you want, about whatever you want.. because that gap is bridged. talk out loud. say it in your head. talk about your day. or ask Him questions. ask Him to help you do the things that make Him smile. you've got a real relationship with Him, just like a friend. to get to know Him, pray (talk to Him) and read your Bible. if you don't have a church, try to find one. and maybe you know a pastor or someone you could talk to about any more questions you may have..
and it's late.. so if i messed up any words, if anything doesn't make sense to you.. or if you have any more questions.. feel free to ask! :)

Young man, read the book of John. Get yourself a King James Bible and read. But learn God's Word from the heart--not the mind.
And always remember that God's Word is never base on "I think" and "I feel".
In fact, go to the web site below read it and write what you are needing help with. Tell them a friend sent you.

You can speak to God through your thoughts because God knows and understands your every thoughtas well as what is in your heart, but no one can tell what to say, so just talk to God the way you would talk to your friends tell him what you want to tell him respectfully and in a humble way, you can ask him, to help you to pray to him and to believe the right things about himand find put the truth about him. If you pray sincerely humbly and honestly and you really want to know(remember God knows if you really want to know or not) then he will answer you and lead you to the truth about him.

A. Read the Bible and try to comprehend it. B. Go to Church. C. Talk to a preacher. D. Believe that God is their creator, that Jesus is the only way of salvation, and that is by grace we are saved, through faith. *The faith is in God/Jesus. E. You can pray to yourself-in your head, and out loud. When you pray out loud some people find that is better to be alone when they pray and in a quite, undisturbed place. Give God thanks and praise and tell God what's in your heart...on your mind. God bless you.

Start with the Lord's Prayer. Our Father who art in Heaven.
After that just tell God what you are feeling, and have a heart to heart conversation.
If you need structure, then start attending Sunday School at your local Church, be honest about your feelings.
I am sure you will find someone that will guide you in your faith.

Do either or both your parents go to church? If so go with them. If not, ask them if they will take you. Go with a friend from school maybe. You need to get into the word of God and the sooner the better.
God bless you!

The kingdom of heaven is within. God is not absent from you. Life is God's part of you. The story of the life covers the true Life. Delve deep within yourself and discover the Essence of the Life that "IS" you. You are what you are running from and towards.
