I know that there is no right or wrong decision in the world. I believe that we are free to do anything we wish to do in the world as long as we can survive it. We have come to believe that there is a right to everything because of religion, government, and society and its cultures. How did the concept of right and wrong begin? Who were the pioneers of it?

I'm gonna go ahead and say God invented right and wrong. He was quite a pioneer. Almost a renaissance man...

Being social animals, we have some form of the golden rule more or less built-in. Most people will sense that it is wrong to harm another person. So the basic sense of right and wrong comes from yourself; what you might call "conscience".

All societies, from families to nations, discover that they need more complex rules to function smoothly. In more primitive societies, these rules are often attributed to a higher power - no doubt because it makes them easier to impose and enforce. As an example, look at Leviticus - scores of rules that are really just basic hygiene (plus that thing about fabric blends that I never did get), given the weight of divine edict.

The concepts of "right and wrong" came with religion. Before that, there was no right or wrong.

Think about it....spacially.
