It's especially annoying when they fret about the 'sins' of others: homosexuality, living together, etc. Why do they do that?

I see so many question from Christians asking what they can and cannot do. Can a christian smoke pot, can we go to bars, can we do anything sexual? You can do anything and be a Christian, but that doesn't mean you should.

Lots of Christians want an exact page and verse in the Bible to show them what they want and if they don't see what they want they try to look for loopholes in the wording so they can justify their behavior.

Instead of having to have an exact definitive right or wrong answer (some of that stuff just isn't in the Bible, sorry), why don't we just use our own common sense when it comes to this stuff?

Ask yourself not what is "right" or "wrong" but ask "what is the wise thing to do?" I learned this principle and found when I answer that question honestly, I will more often than not, find myself in right standing with God's word and making good decisions.

Shouldn't we use our own sensibilities more?

i knew a Muslim who inform me that his prayers were actually answered by God, and also a Christian who told me that God also answered his prayers.

so how can you explain this? if both Muslim and Christian say that the other religion is wrong, then how can both prayers from both Muslim and christians are being answered by God? so does that mean they worship the same God?

many different animals have been filmed , interacting in a sexual manner - but it was not between female and male, but male and male! care to tell me if this is also just a life style these animals seek , like humans do(because thats what I keep reading ), or is there more in homosexual behavior that should not be judged as a life style?

all I ever hear is that homosexuals choose their ife style and that it is a sin! I beg to differ! we are all mammals , like it or not! we do not choose but live the way we are designed and if I love another woman instead of a man because my DNA says so how can you go beyond that and call it a life style?????????

please WOW me with something that makes sense - and no psalms and scripture please!

For those that have some idea on how genetics work can you explain to me how a baby recieves gay genes? I think I somewhat understand how a woman that is dependant on drugs or alcohol can pass on these tendancies to the baby. Is the gay genes similar to hair color genes, height genes, eye color genes? How about offical medical or scientific reports pertaining to babies being born homosexual? Does anything like this exist? Are we as a society just simply fooling ourselves by simplly accepting this idea that a person is born with a certain sexual preference? People say us Christians are not believers of science. I am and I would love to see the science of sexual identy, if it even exists.

If Christians use their personal experiences/revelation as evidence for their god, why can't Hindus/ Muslims/ Pagans/ Jews/ Mormons use their own personal experiences as evidences of their gods? Heck, why can't skeptics or non-theist use the lack of that personal experience to justify the non-existing of a certain god.

And while you’re at it, include a method by which to separate the con-men from the truly chosen, please.

Since much is said about women in Islam, what about the men? It's time to take a look at what they should be doing in order to have ANYTHING over any woman. Before they can expect their wives to respect them, they must show that they are deserving of respect. What do you think of this?

"Much ink has been spilled, and much breath, in defining the role of Muslim women; the rights of Muslim women; the duties of Muslim women, what constitutes an ideal Muslim wife. Maybe because there has so much misunderstanding of the role of women, we seem to give it special emphasis in lectures and books. However since men and women are interdependent, it is not wise to concentrate on one and remain silent about the other.

The last time I was invited to speak about "The ideal Muslim Wife", I made a promise that my next assignment would be to prepare a lecture on " The ideal Muslim Husband".

I don't know of any good reason. NONE. Give me one decent reason why anyone, including a deity, would care about someone elses personal life. It doesn't hurt anyone. Most gays keep to themselves, and don't bother people. Their relationships are based on love, the same as my relationship with my lady. Every species of higher life on this planet has a gay or bisexual population. It is totally natural, even if it is a minority. So what is the problem?

I am a christian and I really loves God , and I love to read the bible, but just wondering is there any store or online place to buy a cool bible that looks old fashioned, OBviously I don't want the Old Greek and hebrew ones but like some that look like they are contained in scrolls or like in cursifve, "Know what I mean", I want to kind of feel like the old days. thanks :) And please don't make a big deal out of it. If you don't know and you are not a christian don't leave a useless answer.

John 6:36
Jesus said to them, I am the bread of Life, he who comes to Me shall by no means hunger and he who believes into me shall by no means thirst."

John 7:38
He who believes into Me, as the Scripture said, out of his innermost being shall flow rivers of living water.

Jeremiah 15:16
Your words were found and I ate them, And Your word became to me The gladness and joy of my heart, for I am called by Your Name, O Jehovah, God of hosts"
wow

How do we take Christ as the Bread of Life and the Living water.
We eat and drink with our mouths but what part of our being do we substantiate and lay hold of Christ as the Word of Life.. as the Living water.. as the Bread of Life.
We are a tripartite being.. made up of spirit soul and body. Share of how you partake of the Lord as your daily nourishment and supply each and every day in order to grow and go on in the Christian life?
