i will be the first to say I am a follow of a african religion of the yoruba people.

I was intiated in the tradition as a child to the goddess oya. which is known to some as the goddess of the wind. my family have all been intiated and the children in my family are not begining their life as a olo orisha ( priest of the tradition) I simply wondered if there were others who also worship nature based gods.

Personally I am Wiccan. Wicca is a complex and spiritual religion with Masonic, Hermetic, and classical religious roots created in the 1930's by a British civil servant named Gerald Gardner, combining various ancient concepts and a syncretic view of the divine that is quite different than really any religion before or after it.

Though Wicca is a newer religion, only about 70 years old, it is not less real and no less spiritual than any other religion. This partly comes from the Wiccan view of the divine. Wiccans revere the sacred asimmanent in nature symbolized in the form of a Goddess and a God who are seen as equal to each other. The view is syncretic, Wiccans see all goddesses as aspects of the "Goddess" and all gods as aspects of the "God."

The God and Goddess are seen as manifestations of divine energy that symbolize the cycles of nature, life and death, and rebirth. Wiccans do not see the God and Goddess as being separate from them or the rest of the world; therefore they have no need for a concept of salvation, since God and Goddess are at all times within and present to everyone. It is this openness and personal connection to the divine that has brought many people to embrace the Wiccan religion, which has continued to grow in followers in the United States, England, and many other countries.

I am Heathen Recon. I follow the Norse Pantheon and only said pantheon.
If anyone asks, which rarely happens, I tell them I'm Pagan. I leave it at that. If they ask further I tell them that I am Heathen. Honestly most pagans I know had no idea what that was until I told them. LOL
We are also known as Asatru. The religion of homework. Knowledge is power. And we usually always disagree but with good feelings and respect. I have never felt more at peace spiritually than I do now in Asatru. They are the Gods of my ancestors (really, really far back :D) and my Elder Kin. They are separate beings and part of no other gods. They are individual and real to us.
At the moment I am pretty connected to Frigga as a stay at home mother. :)

I use a lot of Wiccan rites and ideologies. I prefer the term Heathen, rather than Pagan. Only because I live in Maine and in the woods. I do not pray to any gods, I do use Cernnunos as my archetype. When asked about my belief structure I explain that it is like spirtual farming.Life is so much better now.

using fact it fits my studies and what i think is desirable. different religions that i've got appeared at the two did no longer talk to me, or had issues that did no longer sit down nicely with me. That stated, i'm undecided that I consider your fact approximately philosophy coming around by way of rejecting Pagan religions - there have been a lot of Pagan philosophers, which include ones who based their stances upon the perspectives upheld interior the classic myths.

I am a druid of ADF I am polytheistic with my gods(Pan-european) but work primarily with a few namely Brigid of the Celtic isles. If others ask? I explain I worship a nature-based religion with multiple gods and energies at work in the world, that is tolerant of all that harm none.

I work extensively with animal totems, though within a neopagan framework rather than any Native American or other indigenous culture. My matron Goddess is Artemis, whom I've been working with for about a decade.

The rest takes a lot to explain, so I'll just direct you to http://www.thegreenwolf.com/lupaliturgy.html - the free ebook there is something I wrote after some friends expressed curiosity about my spiritual beliefs (I usually just stick to writing about magic).

I am a Hellenic Reconstructionist Pagan. I follow the Greek Gods.

Explaining my religion would take more time than you would want to read in a short Y!A reply.

For a good beginners explanation I recommend a book you can get at the following link http://www.winterscapes.com/kharis/

I am Wicca, I follow many gods and energies, it depends on what you are asking for help with. I try to avoid religious discussions with others until I know them well, because people think that if you are Wicca you are evil and pray to Satan. You would be surprised at how many Wicca you probably know, they tend to be very environmentally conscious and very nice people. Consider that the main part of the Wicca rede is "Harm none, do as ye will."
Blessed be.
