For those that have some idea on how genetics work can you explain to me how a baby recieves gay genes? I think I somewhat understand how a woman that is dependant on drugs or alcohol can pass on these tendancies to the baby. Is the gay genes similar to hair color genes, height genes, eye color genes? How about offical medical or scientific reports pertaining to babies being born homosexual? Does anything like this exist? Are we as a society just simply fooling ourselves by simplly accepting this idea that a person is born with a certain sexual preference? People say us Christians are not believers of science. I am and I would love to see the science of sexual identy, if it even exists.

There's plenty of scientific evidence that being gay is natural, and not a choice. Christians like you just ignore it. If you give me a minute, I will find you some links to scientific studies that provide evidence to it not being a choice. Not that you even care. You are just posting this to look for backup from fellow Christians that are as homophobic as you and you will ignore the links when I post them

According to the lead author of the study, Dr. Brian Mustanski (University of Illinois, Chicago), "Our study helps to establish that genes play an important role in determining whether a man is gay or heterosexual. It expands upon previous research with twins, which has consistently found evidence for genetic influences on sexual orientation. The next steps will be to see if these findings hold up in a new sample and then identify the particular genes within these newly discovered chromosomal regions."
The genome scan involved 146 families that had two or more gay brothers. The researchers say that there is a statistically significant linkage to sexual orientation in a region on chromosome 7 called 7q36 and the second largest link was on chromosome 8 called 8p12. They also found a sexual orientation link in the region known as Xq28.
Clearly more research needs to be done but the findings so far are impressive.

We're all predispositioned to sin. Some it may be thievery, some lust, some adultery, some pride etc. Since the fall of Adam all are corruptable humans prone to sin.

That includes homosexuals. While they may be born to sin, that is no excuse, we all are. They have to repent and give up that sin just as another needs to give up stealing or lying etc. Countless 1000s have. The big lie out there is that they are born with something they cannot repent of. Once they yield to the enticings of sin it becomes addicting and habitual and harder to put away. Yet addicts can and do put away their addictions, so can homosexuals. They are not special people who cannot help it therefore should be excused.
Child molestors say they cannot help it. Were they born child molestors? Is there a child molestor gene? If so shall society provide them with children to abuse because they can't help it? I don't believe it for a minute.

Well said. There is no more a "gay gene" than there is a tooth fairy (no pun intended.) It is fantasy. As is sexual orientation, and sexual preference. All these phrases and ideas are to justify what is both naturally and spiritually perverse and deviant behavior. It is a LEARNED behavior at that. NOBODY IS BORN GAY.

There are identical twins with different sexual orientations.
Wheter or not a a person is born with a specific nature to sin all men are born with a sin nature.

why dont you use your mother as a laboratory rat instead??? look i am gay and i am not the one giving you any evidence on who i am , i dont need doctors to certify i am gay because of genes, i dont ask you for genetic evidence about your own stupidity...all you have to do is live your life and forget about others, why do you care???
and if you need people to be tested just to proof you your god is right why dont you test your family to see if they are normal?
