There is no respect for religion, I think they should give Atheist a sections so they can vent about their hatred of people.

If she holds that bitterness and hate in her heart she will probably become a predator against innocent children. What can we do to help her forgive her rapist publicly so that she doesn't live with bitterness and hate the rest of her life.

How can we rehabilitate her so that she doesn't become a predator herself?

She has a greater chance of becoming a predator than the average person!

Jesus taught forgiveness and it is our duty to ensure that our fellow Mormons including Elizabeth Smart understand that this is vital.

She will never be able to attend college without being taunted by other students about her rape. Yes people can be mean but perhaps if she lost her bitterness karma wouldn't come back to giver her a kick.

1. Bible says dont have sex until you get married, almost every Christian doesnt wait.
2. Bible says Earth is flat, no the Earth is round.
3. Bible says Earth is 6,000 years old, no its 4.5 billion years old.
4. Most Christians break the ten commandments every day, especially lying.
5. This is my real question why didnt your God sent Jesus Christ during Egyptian times back then when they believed in afterlife after mummification also why didnt God sent Jesus when people started to believe in Zeus and all those Gods, why did he wait till later on?

It's "inappropriate" to teach right from wrong,
We're taught that such "judgments" do not belong.

Some are making comments about being driven out of this forum of questions and answers. There is a very simple way to combat this, simply ignore them, completely and totally ignore them you must know the worlds saying,

"Do not fuel the fire and it will go out!" it is true on every account.

Someone made it up for this very reason! Listen to these words when you feel threatened and let them bring you peace. All those who are here are searching and the ones with the most pain are obvious to you and me. They are in more need than others so let them be and some will hear a word or two and stay. They will become good listeners and some might ask a question that can help set you free.

you say that the Bible was inspired by God, that when it was translated, it was inspired, and how does the inspireing happen? they have to listen to their heart, intuition, etc. BUT, the heart is diseatful. Cant be trusted. dont get me wrong, i do read the Bible, but when I read it, I have to listen to what God puts on my heart, to be able to get anything from it, there for I still have to trust God more than what the Bible says. you can read it a 100 times, and still get something different each time you read it, sepending on what you are going through, so yes I use it at a map, so how can you say that I cant listen to God, who is part of me? its a sin, yet that sin wrote the Bible. You just have to know who is speaking, God or satan, well duh, if satan was saying to do something it sure would not have a good outcome would it? so then you say, no thanks, wont do that. I do see a lot of people who just quote Bible scripture, but I am not so sure, they are really listening to God.

...why isn't there more wonderful things surrounding belief instead of division? I honestly can't see how all the hatred, racism, sexism, gay bashing, martyrdom and holy wars are signs of goodness. Why are all the good things kept for after death?

Do you sometimes wish you could start over and just have all the good parts of religion that you remember as a child? Back when religion meant Sunday School and sweet-speaking people? Doesn't reality ruin it for you?

I ask this because this is what happened to me. The harsh reality of what religion really does instead of what we were taught it meant as children.
