How would you respond, as an individual and as a church, if your pastor's wife left him and when you asked him why, he said ..."It's none of your business. I don't have to explain to you."

I think it is naive of any person in a leadership position (pastor, president, CEO, king, etc.) to not think that a part of their responsibility is to lead by example.

A congregation has the right to know about the religious / spiritual life of its leaders. If the clergyman's wife left because he was breaking a commandment, then the congregation has the right to know. Ditto if the clergyman is breaking the laws of te land.

I would never ask in the first place. Just because he is a pastor, doesn't mean his life needs to be public.

Well, that really is *not* any of your business. Unless it's directly related to his spiritual guidance or his running of the church, I'd say you're just being a busybody and need to mind your own. Let him live his life, and you live yours.

If he broke a commandment or did something unethical and that's why the marriage broke up, it is people's business, they have the right to hire someone who sets a good example. In the U.S. when you hire someone, however, you're not supposed to even ask them if they are married., legally speaking..

He's right. Nobody is privy to somebody's private life unless they want to share it with them. Even if they're public figures, celebrities, and clergy members.

facebook finally ends up in distinctive hours dropping time with Twitter like updates, Farmville, and different video games. no longer addressing problems on your marriage in a mature, respectful way- and not being waiting to artwork on those problems- finally ends up in adultery.
