Have you ever read a Q or A by someone of an opposing perspective and felt that what they were saying was right, but decided to give them a thumbs down or gave a best answer to someone else because even though it wasn't the best answer, it was the best answer that wasn't from THAT person?

In short, are you an R&S biggot?

I see many Atheists (ect.) on Yahoo Answers. What they think and believe are their own thoughts and I respect that, in fact, no matter how much I try to persuade someone to think in a different way (for whatever purpose) they usually don't listen. But who would?

It IS their lives. Everyone, Athiests or not, should have their own opinions/beliefs on things, it's not my say-so to go ahead and start going "HEY YOU. YOU STINK. I DONT LIKE YOUR BELIEFS".

Though, it would be nice if some people would engage in a /conversation/ to settle their differences. I mean if someone thought all Muslims were terrorists - I'd obviously wouldn't appreciate that completly, considering I'm a Muslim, instead I would try to prove them otherwise using my own knowledge if I were involved.

Anywho, I don't judge or steoro type people for their religons/beliefs ;) It's part of life.

Peace from the Middle East.

I hope not. I give the thumbs up to what ever sounds right to me. If there is a question that says. Why are you religious, and it says something like. cause god is the only true righeous being and i will live in heaven with angels and chocolate, then I tend to give the thumbs down because there not answering any question, they are just defensively writing down words. If an Atheist says.. well im not religious because. then they are answering a question.

Main point I vote for what sounds good to me.. religious or not. but what i have found is that most Atheists actually answer the question and religious people get defensive.

Excellent question. I try very hard to genuinely give "best answer" to the person who actually answered the question in the best way. This sometimes means I have to give "best answer" to someone whose opinions I disagree with strongly.

Sometimes this comes from surprising places. I was stunned that Midge gave me "best answer" for a question. She admitted she hated doing it too :) Well, the following week she blocked me, but I had to give her props for the best answer thing.

The only thing I really thumbs down people for is when they're being hateful - and I do that to theists and atheists alike.

If I ask a question to atheists, I try to give the best answer to atheists. I don't give a thumbs down unless someone is over the top and totally disrespectful and gross. no, i am not an r&s biggot.

I've yet to agree with a theist, although I find some of them cute and others charming. But I've given a tenner to Schneb at least once even though I think the poor dear man is right 'round the bend.

I often disagree with atheists or agnostics who suggest that we should refrain from hurting anybody's widdle feelings, as I think that's a dumb argument. If this is bigotry, make the most of it.

Not at all. I've given Best Answers to Christians when it was a good answer to what I asked. I only thumbs down dumb answers. Either by atheists or theists.

i'm happy to pay attention you assert that. I truthfully have self assurance in God, yet this is using the fact I even have reviews and ideology that lead me to even have self assurance He exists. i wouldn't in any respect rigidity my ideals on somebody, and that i do no longer think that Christians who do are Doug from now on suited than an athiest saying that each and all and sundry theists are idiots. all of us have self assurance what we'd decide to have self assurance in view that's what we expect of is genuine. Believing or no longer believing in God does not make somebody stupid. It only skill that diverse people have self assurance countless issues for his or her own motives. Does that advise I won't attempt to steer people to have self assurance interior the God i think with all my heart is genuine? No. yet i wouldn't in any respect rigidity it on somebody. this is insulting to a persons' intelligence as a man or woman.

No. I've seen some rather good answers from Atheists. If an Atheist gave the best answer, then that's who I would choose.

Additional details: If they are not against my belief and respect to God and Jesus.

Admittedly, I hand out the 10 points mostly to people I know and like , but occasionally, I'll hand one out to someone who has a well thought out answer that I don't agree with.
