You have exposed a myth, mostly promoted by young punks who don't think a lot beyond pot or street racing.

This, of course, means that senior persons are obviously not a "bad risk" at all, but rather they're the most experienced and qualified.

The Senior Citizens running our government today are the left overs from the wealthy and the Christian developed government machine developed from the days when you had to be Unitarian to vote! They stay there cause it is a cushy job with perks and they get fed by the lobbyists to keep Christianity in charge and feed the capitalistic money machine, big business, caterring occasionally to those who elect them and always speaking like they do.

Some of them mean more good than harm, but the risk they cause is unknown, covered as it were. Today we need leaders that are bilingual or willing to learn bilingual at least and who have the best interest of our democracy at stake.

Those who came from the Christian background are the wealthy! It is not necessarily fair, but there are some things about Christianity that are civil. It just needs some tweeking to make it functional for the next century.

The ones who are such a bad risk are those who got taught to sit by and watch everything go by and not be resposible for their bills and get away with it. They are a credit risk. I assume that is the risk you are talking about.

You know that retirement is a rather new part of life. It use to be that everyone worked until they died. You can even see it in old movies, where there would have a butler still working at 90 and an envelope is removed from a plate he is carrying and he falls backwards.
On the news this week was a new song/CD made by a well known singer at 102 years old. Do you watch the news or just listen to hear say?
I have been wondering IF retiring might be the cause of all this Dementia that is going around?

Who says that Sr. citizens are a risk? Risk of what?

They are running the government because its the fifies something who have been at their careers long enough to have some power and experience.

Retiring baby boomers might give the younger generation more power but by "younger" I'm only meaning those in their forties and fifties. Sorry, that's how it works.

i wouldn't say senior citizens are a bad risk. the risk is not age... the risk is stupidity. and baby boomers are not any more "healthy, wealthy and wise" than anyone else...where did you get that idea? what we need to run our government are women and men with good sense, compassion, intelligence, education, and dedication to doing what's best for everyone in the country. i wait for that day.

Bad risk for what? And, child, I am a baby boomer, also retired, one of those senior citizens that you think is such a bad risk. Age and cunning beat youth and enthusiasm every time.

Who says seniors are a bad risk? Bad risk for what? According to my age, I am considered a senior, but I know more, do more, excercise more than ever before. Age brings wisdom, not just book learning.
