1. Pride, or more specifically the building of the tower of Babel. Man thought by building the tower up to heaven they would make a name for themselves.
2.The first reference to Nations biblically would be the table of Nations who were The Japhethites, The Hamites, The Semites.
3. Noah: son of Lamech , "He will comfort us in the labor and painful toil of our hands caused by the ground the LORD has cursed."
Babel: The tower or city of Babel. It was called Babel because, "there the LORD confused the language of the whole world. From there the LORD scattered them over the face of the whole earth."
Nimrod: son of Cush, he was a mighty warrior on the earth and a great hunter before the Lord, and it was said, "Like Nimrod, a mighty hunter before the LORD."

1) God deliberately confusing human speech at the Tower of Babel. (Genesis 11)
