is your question aimed at christian, about atheist. I am an atheist like no other, for I believe in your right to believe. we atheist seem to get a bad name on here, but you should look from both sides. the Christians knock us, and we knock religion. we all end up sometimes frustrated, but both sides suffer at the hands of ignorance its just the way it is. the religious site belongs to all Theism, but that includes ; polytheism & atheism and all the other 'isms.

I have been ignoring folks' "most ignorant" comments here on this website and others. I have also had occasion to do so out in the world. What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? - Romans 8:31. The Lord daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah. - Psalm 68:19. I am fortunate to live by God's law not man's. Peace and God Bless.

I don't find some of the comments and answers to difficult to ignore. There is one thing to remember when some of the comments and answers get really wild is : pay atention, someone is in pain, or is healing, or learning.There are many worldly-wise people on this site. There are many spiritually-wise people on this site. I try to learn something or re-examine my walk with the Lord and some of the statements will enlighten, tickle me, and make me study the bible harder. When something does'nt sound right to my spirit, I'll go look it up for myself. If someone brings trash to your front door and leaves it there.........you don't pick up the trash and bring it in your house! No, No, you should take it out to the curb and put it in the trash-can with the lid on to contain the stench!Then, you wash the trash receptacle when it has been emptied by the large trash trucks. Good news is easy to store, you will create more room for it when you clean out the trash first! May God Bless. Some people ask questions in and abrasive way because, that is the only way that they know how to ask for help.Stay in prayer for them and your ground in which should be kept fertile and watered to harvest the seed of faith planted in it. The seed is good, and will grow. May God Bless.

If only that were the case, but it's not. Take off the rose colored glasses, now turn in a circle and see where you are. Duh.
This place is riddled with people that come here just to antagonize, Mostly children too young to be allowed to have an opinion.
If someone insults my God just for kicks then they open themselves to my ridicule and I will respond.
Yes there are serious people here and I wish the serious that are looking for legitimate answers and the folks with the answers, could be heard all in one place with no jokers.
There's the way it ought to be. Then there's the way it is.

There are people who have reached their state of belief or atheism after careful consideration. There are others who have been manipulated by those abusing religion or atheism for their own ends.
True atheists have been down the same path as people of faith, and reached the conclusion of a divine absence. They will respect those who believe in a God.
Those who ridicule religion, theism or atheism are the clones. They have suffered at the hands of the mountebanks and charlatans who want to control them or sell them false routes to happiness.
If someone has bought into a corrupt idea - be it religion or atheism, you cannot hope to convert them with an alternative corrupt idea. That's like telling Arsenal supporters that Man U are better.

Go placidly amongst the noise and the haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible, be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly ;
and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant ;
they, too, have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons ;
they are vexatious to the spirit.
If you compare yourself to others, you may become vain or bitter,
for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
Keep interested in your career, however humble ;
it is a real possession in the changing fortune of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs,
for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is ;
many persons strive for high ideals
and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection.
Neither be cynical about love;
for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment,
it is as perennial as the grass.
Take kindly the council of the years,
gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in misfortune.
Do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline be gentle with yourself.
You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars ;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore, be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be.
And whatever your labors and aspirations,
in the noisy confusion of life,
keep peace in your soul.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful.
Strive to be happy.

No, I don't find it difficult to ignore them for several reasons. One, what someone says is all about them, not me, not my beliefs, them. Two, what we focus on grows, so if we give our attention to comments we don't agree with or like, we are giving them power they don't deserve. For those of you who want to "set them straight," save your energy. You should know by now that you cannot change anyone else. The only person you have complete control over is yourself. I have found that to be a big enough job without setting out to change everyone else.

I am more apt to listen to what you have to say if your are not not just being hateful & critical. Everyone has a right to their beliefs, & I would like to hear & understand all, but not if you insist on belittling everyone not like you. I agree, & I come to yhis sight very little because of the very type of person you describe. They have no love, no insight, & nothing to offer but a point of view from a small mind.

Yes, I find it difficult. I have been on this section before and couldn't even find a serious legitimate question to answer. I never knew how many bashers of faith there were worldwide. They are prideful and just want attention for the most part. I DO ignore them.
