Just like god and most religious "miracles" it's magic! Sheer rib replacing magic. God was the original mind freak!!

God does not remove a rib from each man to make each woman. The creation of Eve from Adam was to show it is the same creation. God created man and made them male and female. Adam and Eve were one flesh.

If Eve was really made from Adams rib, then she would have the exact same DNA as Adam, thus she would more aptly be name Steve.
