I realize "Wicccan" and "witch" don't fit in the same sentence as "Christian", but I really would like to know if there is a medium between the terms. Can a Christian practice witchcraft ("white magick"--though, I honestly believe magick just IS) and still hold beliefs that center on nature and both the "male and female" duality of life, the universe? I'm mainly interested in hearing from self-proclaimed Christian-Witches. Thanks. BTW, nix the nasty comments.

There is a disturbing trend of scientists, teachers, and students coming under attack for expressing support in the theory of intelligent design, or even just questioning evolution. The freedom of scientists, teachers, and students to question Darwin's theory, or to express alternative scientific hypothesis is coming under increasing attack by people that can only be called Darwinian fundamentalists.”

New Ben Stein Flick, Expelled, Blows the Whistle on Evolution.
Expelled is a disturbing new documentary that will shock anyone who thinks all scientists are free to follow the evidence wherever it may lead.

So I've been thinking... People have spent a lot of time and energy finding transitional fossils between animals and humans. Yet they have not tried to find transitional fossils between plants and animals. I realize that finding early fossils is difficult at best, because there just aren't a lot of them. Evidence from 500+ million years ago is hard to find, and harder to classify and interpret. At a time when all life was developing for the first time, it's hard to find black-and-white lines between life forms.

So- do strict evolutionists believe that animals came from plants, and humans came from animals? Or do they believe that plants and animals are distinct, and humans came from animals? Or is further evidence needed one way or the other? When and how do they believe life, period, first began? (This is an honest question- I don't want people to get all ticked off. Any thoughtful answers appreciated.)

With so many different religious beliefs in this world, it is impossible for all of them to be correct. So if most of them are wrong, why shouldn't we just assume that none is right?

i don't see a problem with it. some people have said to me that little girls shouldn't see a naked man. well why not? what's the big deal? and why is it more ok for boys to see a naked woman? i think it's important to teach kids about the human body. nudity has nothing to do with sex.

so i wonder, what is your opinion on this matter, and what religion are you? i'm curious to see if religion plays a part in your perspective on this matter.

also, many people will shower or bathe with their babies and toddlers, but once they hit a certain age that they start asking questions age 3 or so, the nudity in front of them ends. if you think it's harmful to be naked in front of children, then isn't the "damage" done by that point anyway?

In the sense are there Catholics in a church who partake of the sacraments but truely believe they are saved by grace alone.

Without any works so no man can boast etc. Only by faith in Christ and what he did by his death and resurection.

In the protestant church you dont have to believe everything they teach (theres no authority anyway) could it be the same in the Catholic one.

....and that the speed of light is actually the processing speed of the "computer". It can't calculate faster than that, so you can't see the results until it has time to figure out what they are. It takes light 8 minutes to arrive on Earth from the sun because it takes the universe 8 minutes to compute how that light will appear to us. You can go faster than light because the computer simply can't operate fast enough to keep up.

How many blood cells did Jesus bleed when he bleed for our sins? Was is it enough that there was one blood cell with each of our names from that time forward in the entire world? Did he shed his blood with each of our individual names on it?

I don't mean to seem like I'm questioning God, but I see people get blessings I don't think they really deserve while my parents and I are suffering and going w/o. My parents can't make ends meet on their fixed income and I have seziures (which is part of the reason I live w/ them).
I guess I should say that other than the sezuires (which I'm on medication for) I do have my health. I also have small retirement and savings accounts. And I'm thinner than I've been in about 3 yrs. So I have that going for me.
I used to think if I managed my money well maybe God would give me more but that hasn't worked. My parents and I aren't selfish (well, my dad has his moments and I try very hard not to be selfish) so I don't see why we shouldn't get some more blessings. How can I get God to give them to us?

Seems like humans can live on one planet out of 1,000,000,000,000,000,000. Not to mention the vastness of empty space.

What makes people think all of existence is dedicated to human life?

Simply put, Is it looked upon the same if I were to give to, let's say, a needy co-worker? Maybe a friend in danger of losing his/her home. So long as I keep it in the aspects of God's Glory. Maybe just by explaining that "The Lord has put it on my heart to help. This money comes from him, not me." What do you think?

question ,?? he is only following God orders ???

2007-08-23 02:45:43 · 12 answers · asked by Anonymous

I mean, let's face it, he doesn't exactly have the best track record for being very kind.

ie. -blames his newborn children for things that their ggggggggrandparents have done.

-slaughtered babies

-encouraged the death of his favorite son

-executed non-virgins

-wiped out the entire population of the world

-encourages stoning for misbehavior

-encourages men to beat their wives

-encourages slavery

-encourages the execution of "witches"

-hates his gay children, yet he made them that way

-sends people who don't believe in him to hell, yet he refuses to show his face

- gets some teenager knocked up and doesn't pay child support

-creates his own enemy (Satan)

(it goes on an on like this)

On top of that, the talk of death an killing far outweighs the talk of love in the bible.
