It is totally impossible to describe what cannot be described. You have stumbled on to an Absolute Truth!

The alphabet can be used to construct an infinite amount of different words. These words can be used to represent and communicate various concepts. So no, it should not be impossible to describe any deity. To be fair to the various believers, the description may be lacking in some regards, but it still will be a description.

It is true we cant define the true Almighty God. But we can describe His features and say He is above everything. Like in Maths we say Infinity and in Astronomy we say Billions of light years which are beyond man's perception and imagination. Likewise we say God is above everything. We have around 99 features which is manifested in His creations. But man has been given the previlege to think and conclude. Using his 5 senses man can conclude the effect of this senses. When we see a smoke at a distance, we know there is fire there. Here our 6th sense infers the info. Similarly God's omnipotence is felt by all Human beings on seeing the creation around us and in our own body.
