If your spouse abuses illegal drugs and threatens to hurt you is it scripturally okay to leave him? I asked this question once before, I'm still not sure what to do.

Christians act like they can hear God talking to them. Like God implants thoughts into their head. When I hear a thought in my head, I'm pretty sure I thought of it myself, considering its in MY head. I spent a huge amount of time during my teenage years very active in a missionary Baptist church. I am now 25 years old. I am still waiting on this big amazing feeling where I can actually feel God's presence and know for certain he exists. I'm starting to get pretty darn sure it isn't going to happen. So what, then, Christians? Am I not somebody God wants in Heaven, is that why he hasn't given me a feeling of certainty within myself of his existance? What happened to you to make you so positive about your beliefs?

I see many atheists professing to an idea like: simple forms of thinking bring about the belief in god or gods.

Dont you think this is an unfair statement especially towards those people who have contributed a lot to our scientific advancements in the world?

The saying is true indeed...

I personally can't stand it. Maybe that's why religion and I don't play well together.

Why do people blame Atheists for the Pope shooting?

why do they have to answer about 80 questions to see if they are "qualified"? The Bible doesn't require that of anyone..ones dedication to God should be between them and God..Can you give examples of what questions are asked?

what they believe.
-A god into blood offerings....needs Christs blood to make everything right,
-A god into incest to populate the world.
_A god that will burn people forever.

And they can justify this god actions as good and loving??
There has to be big diffrences in Christian brains to allow for beliefs like this.....I wonder if there has been any studies?

I am going through some spiritual things right now, and emotional. It is mostly my significant other going through stuff, but I feel a lot of what he feels... My mother is a missionary to Peru, and she is fasting for the situation going on there. Last night while watching CBN, knowing that she knows people in Pisco and Lima, I feel compelled to do the same.
SO, this is day two of a no meat fast. I am really trying to go for 40 days.

Do you think God is within us or a separate entity? Do you think God is a man or something else, like a force?

What would you have to do or achieve to be able to think in your final days: I lived a good life

Hi,
My supervisors harass me a lot.
What they do is promise a thing
and then not deliver it. How to counter them.

Asking the hard questions to a person of faith always leads to many "God works in mysterious ways" answers or "I don't pretend to know God's plan" etc. Atheists always give you straight answers. I believe in God but honestly I'm surprised I do at this point. How can you follow a religion with so many unanswered questions, and be totally fine with that?

There are three religious truths:
1) Jews do not recognize Jesus as the Messiah.
2) Protestants do not recognize the Pope as the leader of the Christian faith.
3) Baptists do not recognize each other in the liquor store or at Hooters.

Before, I'm full of faith because I was raised in a Christian family in a Christian school with Christian friends. Now, I study in a public school with friends who does not even have faith in God. I am slowly influenced by their crazy attitudes and I have been running out of faith. Any tips?

The bible says that we all have sinned in Adam. My understanding is that we inherit the seperation from God through our relationship to Adam by birth. I see that our will being commited to selfish ends manifests the acts of sin and we are therefore guilty. In the Word we are told that all have sinned and that all are withoput excuse. However if our acts of sin stem from doing merely that which is our nature by birth how then are we culpable for doing that which we have a propensity to do without our choice in being born with such a propensity? If the word says we are without excuse? Does it not appear the best of excuses being born with a sinful nature?
I have examined this doctrine which ultimately justifies universalism but think it was the influence of Aristotlean philosophy that created this wrong way of seeing the doctrine of moral depravity. Charles Finney's Systematic Theology was helpful to me but I am curious as to how other Christians resolve this dilemma....comments?

Luke 17:34 I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.
35 Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
36 Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
37 And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.
