If you think about it, everyone is being condescended to.Jews, though they rarely would say it to your face since of the three they have learned that religion is more personal then anything, would say that Christians and Muslims are wrong. As are anyone who doesn't know their God as they know him.Muslims would say that Christians are wrong even though they may be closer to right then the Jews who are just totally wrong. But in case, Muslims must be right because all others are wrong.Christians would say that Jews are deceiving themselves and Muslims worship Satan.Even if they don't say that, they would still say that Jews and Muslims are wrong.
Even the most seemingly innocent of phrases is condescending. For instance, "Atheists are lost" or "You need to find the love of God" or "we are just trying to save you".
No matter what the belief or phrase, the simple truth is that a person automatically becomes self infused with a superiority complex that others are wrong and in turn condescend

I have one in my library. Whenever I use it to compare verses, it is always consistent with my other translations and versions. I don’t understand why I so often hear people criticizing it, saying that Jehovah’s Witnesses have their own Bible. It’s like any other Bible translation.

why aren't more people killing themselves to get there? Why continue staying on a troubled earth where there is suffering? Logically, wouldn't this make sense? BTW, suicide is not the unforgivable sin. Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is the unforgivable sin, so the suicide=hell crowd can shut up.

I have heard many different answers from Muslims and its confusing. Some say that is his name and some say that, that is how you say God in Arabic.
If that is God in Araic then what is God's name? It can't be "God", that is just a title.

Do they not know the definition of what a Christian is? I mean seriously I get tired of heaing how I'm not a true Christian and that I'm going to hell and that I'm a Satanist or a "Mary Worshipper". What's up with that?

Matthew 3:16,17 clearly states that when Jesus Christ was baptized a voice from the heavens saying:“This is my Son, the beloved, whom I have approved.” God himself said Jesus Crist was his son. How can that be hard to understand? Clearly God and Jesus were seperate. No offense to anyone just trying to see what people who believe the Trinity have to say about this.

Matthew 3:16,17 16"After being baptized Jesus immediately came up from the water; and, look! the heavens were opened up, and he saw descending like a dove God’s spirit coming upon him. 17 Look! Also, there was a voice from the heavens that said: “This is my Son, the beloved, whom I have approved.”

One judges christians by the evidence they present to us. If you are not like that then maybe YOU are an exception because "most" people judge you by what the majority of you have presented yourselves as. You are judged to be a violent orginization by the history of your church. You are judged to be hate filled because the leaders of your church spout hate. You judge everyone else and are suprised that you in turn are judged?
Why are you suprised by what others think when that is what we see from the majority that we meet?

Tithe - is an old word for tax. According to my Bible (Leviticus)the people of Israel were instructed to give the tribes of Levi a tenth of their tithes. The churches of today want 10% of everything when the Bible asks for a tenth of the taxes paid to the governor.

Don't hate me for the question...but do show me why....

Have Our Churches Misrepresented a Biblical Tithe....?

Ok, I don't know where it is, but in the bible it talks about Persia attacking Jerusalem in the end of times...and there would be a great army from the east...and something else. Does anyone know where this is?

I think because Iran just hates the US and Israel...and Russia is mad because of the whole missile defense system, and of course China's economy is probably going to go south because of all of these recalls going on...that it is coming true...

agree/disagree

I spent quite a time on here asking and answering questions over the summer, and will probably take a long hiatus now that school is starting back up. Looking into the perspectives of different people on this site has done a few things for me. Although I do not view the regulars as an accurate sample of the population, I've seen how different our race can be in terms of beliefs and views on reality. My own perspective has been further shaped and supported. I've read from some very wise answerers who reason for themselves, but far more from bigoted and close-minded individuals who willingly follow others mindlessly. Both have made somewhat of a difference on me. What about you?

I have seen anger and back biting from most atheist's on any belief talked about in this forum. And was wondering how you feel about being shown as angry by a few bitter people. And why do you let them make you look bad?

Isn't this a slap on the face to everyone who died on 9/11? The grand marshall and several organizers are radical muslims who believe in jihad and in establishing an Islam state in America.

Here it is word for word.

Planting seeds for Christ is great!
Destroying his message by being judgmental or by not showing unconditional love isn't planting seeds it's planting thistles.

I only quote scriptures to believers because they believe nothing else. Never use scriptures at people that don't believe in scriptures you become a joke and you make your God out to be a joke. Read this and consider:
(John 12:47)
And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.

Christians quote scriptures to unbelievers all the time when they should be using the "Word written on their hearts" to communicate with people. You have to care to communicate. If you don't care then you show yourself to be pompous.
Christ only gave two commands, I'll remind you because I see little evidence that Christians are aware of these commands:
Love God with all your heart.
Love your neighbor as yourself even if they hate you.

First of all let me say that I am not trying to insult you or be funny, this is a serious question and I would like serious answers. Second let me say that I do not belong to any particular religion so I'm not trying to convince you of anything.
Why is it that you do not believe in an afterlife? I'm not talking about god, satan, heaven or hell, just an afterlife.

Is it

A- You're trying to tick off theists?

B- Since you consider the theist’s beliefs illogical you figure that the opposite would have to be logical?

C- you consider it your belief and if so, do you have any proof to back it up or is it on faith? (for lack of a better word)

Or

D- Explain in your own words.

One thing she spoke about concerning this program on GOD's Warriors is that religion is nver going away, the human beings are more passionate about GOD then anything else in life...

GOD- Is the Most Loved, the Most Feared, the Most Mis-Understood and the the Most Worshipped than any other single thing in life and exsistence...
