Bible Prophecy....Iran, Russia, China?

Question

Ok, I don't know where it is, but in the bible it talks about Persia attacking Jerusalem in the end of times...and there would be a great army from the east...and something else. Does anyone know where this is?


I think because Iran just hates the US and Israel...and Russia is mad because of the whole missile defense system, and of course China's economy is probably going to go south because of all of these recalls going on...that it is coming true...

I don't think so. Turning Biblical prophesy into modern countries doesn't make enough sense.

As other answerers have indicated, you are referring to Ezekiel 38 and 39. We know from these prophesies that this invasion happens in the "latter days," so this does NOT occur after the Tribulation, as some errantly teach. There are many other reasons why this is definately a pre-Tribulational event -- you can go to my Yahoo 360 blog for more information.

China does not participate in the invasion; however, some believe the mysterious "King of the East" mentioned in Revelation and the Book of Daniel is China; there is no proof either way. Personally, I doubt it's China. Prophetically, God always refers to Middle Eastern countries when He references end-time events.

Will this invasion happen this year? There's no way to tell. All Bible prophecy students such as myself can say is that it "appears" this invasion will occur soon, since the stage is completely set.

Think about this...China...over 1 Billion and still growing.

Have seen estimates that 5,000 - 10,000new believers happening every day. Sounds like a big number, but it's what, 1/2% of 1% of 1%.

But on the other hand...it's growing faster than the communist party is...and with the open market, pure communism is no longer about "equality of the worker", but "maintain our power."

What I'm getting at is this....even the party is "infected" with new born Christians...how many more years until China goes the route of the former Soviet Union? And when that happens, will it be like Poland and East Europe... countries ready to burst out of hiding and let worship be public?

And perhaps...China might be one of the last Christian strong holds...ready to march towards Israel. Just something to think about.

Russia has been much madder at us before than they are now - and much more militarily capable of harming us (and Israel). China's economy is not going to fail because of some recalls. The government of Iran is opposed to us, but for religious reasons opposes the very existence of Israel, and so the two are not really in the same boat. Iran has been trying to destroy Israel for 60 years - and today with a lot less support than in the past.

What does all this mean? That we are actually in a situation *farther* from that specified in the "end times" prophecies of the bible than we were 40 years ago.

What should concern you is not when the tribulation is coming, but whether or not you are ready to "meet your maker". It is far more likely that you or I will die tomorrow than it is that Christ will come tomorrow. *That* needs to be our concern, not the "repent, for the end is near" preachers who have been spouting false interpretations of biblical prophecy for the last several centuries. I have not heard a single one that is solidly based except for those who admit that the actual interpretation is not yet apparent. In my experience, *every one* makes unwarranted assumptions and takes scripture out of context to falsely prop up their "interpretation". I believe that *every one* who claims to have discovered the true meaning of end-times prophecy is intentionally defrauding Christians.

If you are ready for your death, the true interpretation of the end-times prophecy becomes irrelevant, and *that* says more about the "end times revealed" preachers than anything else I can say.

U refer to Rev. 16 & 17 and draw upon a "Theory" that these Countries are involved. They well may be, however these "Armies" are named only by "Proximity" to Jerusalem using the "Compass Coordinates" for the USA, Russia etc. didn't even exist when this was written. Yes, they do represent great "Evil" in their "Ideology", but in Actuality, China is currently experiencing the Greatest Growth in Christianity of any other Nation!!! Revelation has a Lot of "Meat" in it and even More "Speculation" about it perhaps than any other Book of Scripture. Combine Ur reading of it with Daniel and just be aware that these things are just like "Highway Markers" telling U how "Close" we are to the "End Times". John

Ez. 38:1-6 tells what countries are what:
Magog (root word for Moscow) = Russia
Mesheck & Tubal = Russia
Persia = Iran
Ethiopia
Libya
Gomer = Poland
Togarmah = Turkey

China continues to threaten the U.S. saying they will nuke American cities if we interfere w/ the situation between China & Taiwan.
The U.S. supports Taiwan w/ weaponry & China doesn't like it. again this year they have threatened the U.S.
they are looking for an opportunity to attack Taiwan when the U.S. is too busy to help.

other countries will be involved in the 6th trumet war .... the U.S. & some of the muslim countries...

rev. 9:14-21 says the war starts in the area of the Euphrates River.
we have 160,000 troops there now.
the Euphrates is a muslim river ... most of it runs through Iraq.

many governmental people think WWIII has already started.
however, the event that will be the flashpoint for this war to escalate has not happened yet.... however it is coming soon.
