The Bible teaches to forgive and I can do that. But how do you know it's okay to cut ties with people sometimes. There should be a difference between forgiving over and over and not being stupid and getting hurt over and over and over again. How do you explain this to someone who is also a Christian and how can I be okay with myself for cutting someone loose? I bend over backwards and then when I need someone they are never there. But when they have troubles they are back in my face. I can't keep doing this.

Since both Islam and Judaism forbid the consumption of pigmeat as unclean, it would follow that the Muslims and Jews would find Christians repulsive. Or maybe when no one is looking, they ALL stuff themselves with fried pork rinds and Bac-Os. How serious is this?

with talking about Jesus in Israel. Can you give me pointers on saving souls in Israel? Apparently you cant preach Jesus's message of love to the very people that he came from.

that you can ask a simple religious based question here, and with all the people claiming to be devout Christians, you get a halfassed answer?

The halfassed answers come from either a Christian who is uppity and thinks your question is beneath their knowledge level, or one who thinks youre poking fun at their precious beliefs.

Or boom, even atheists answer and if they dont flat out say there no God, they do at least try to answer your question in a comical way.

I asked a pretty simple question geared towards those who are familiar with everything in the bible(common sense), about where it would say that animals have no soul, and some imbecile answers with the question "why would you want to"?
I'm thinking like WTF....duh....I wanna know so I can read it.

If you Christians dont have an answer, and you just want these little two points, why dont you just type "I dont know" instead of your little funky attitudes.

Marriage:
1. the social institution under which a man and woman establish their decision to live as husband and wife by legal commitments, religious ceremonies, etc.

If you are going to create a new sociably acceptable life style, then why not create a new word to match, one that does not destroy the meaning of the original word? Consider this, if every student graduating from collage were called DR’s in stead of gradates then what good would having a Ph.D. be in distinguishing the real ones

try reading the Gospel of Mary and The Book of Enoch, books denied by The Church as being false? But both books have infinite wisdom in them and would probably greatly benefit those of you who need faith. I am an atheist and have read about many different religions and spiritual belief systems, the ignorance displayed by god haters and god lovers is appalling on this board.

It says this in the Bible in Proverbs. But what if you don't believe in a God or are an atheist? Does this mean that one will become foolish? Aren't there a lot of atheists who are not fools?

For some strange reason they seem to believe atheists need to 'open their hearts' or 'find a purpose'. There is usually some reference such as this which suggests atheists are lost or something.
Are these religious people so methodically and effectively brainwashed that they can't even grasp how people can happily function (and therefore be open-hearted) without the need to trust an invisible god?

I was inspired by an answer one of my contacts received with a link to demonology, and upon reviewing the vast list of Demons and their purpose, some of them were the bringers of inspiration, love, music, returning runaways, aiding soldiers etc, so is it safe to say that not all of the fallen were evil and have actually contributed more than the ideology of the Guardian Angel, and the cruelty of the Powers, the term Demon has always had such a negative reaction when the punishment from God for their rebellion was the separation from Him, why is it that the general popular belief is that when they were cast out of Gods presence that they lost their original nature and became evil and ugly? any and all replies welcomed.

Or are they women hated because they show signs of intelligence and independence, and science?

2007-08-18 03:57:47 · 27 answers · asked by Anonymous

I am, and I have found for years now that churches (in general) are not welcoming to us. What do I mean by this? We are excluded instead of included, we are not approached to lead Bible studies and the like, etc., etc. especially if we are intelligent and attractive.

I also have found an attitude with married women of the church that is less than Christ-like towards single women. I wonder if they are jealous that we have our freedom? Feel "threatened" by our intelligence and attractive appearance? Perhaps they are in bad marriages? Or maybe they project onto us some negative idea that reflects their own sordid past of sexual sin?

I feel it is growing much worse and am totally fed up with it. Does that mean I will not go to church, no, I will continue to press on and stand my ground because I know God is not happy with this treatment of us and has encouraged me to "buck this system" of Satan.

What has been your experience?
