that you can ask a simple religious based question here, and with all the people claiming to be devout Christians, you get a halfassed answer?

The halfassed answers come from either a Christian who is uppity and thinks your question is beneath their knowledge level, or one who thinks youre poking fun at their precious beliefs.

Or boom, even atheists answer and if they dont flat out say there no God, they do at least try to answer your question in a comical way.

I asked a pretty simple question geared towards those who are familiar with everything in the bible(common sense), about where it would say that animals have no soul, and some imbecile answers with the question "why would you want to"?
I'm thinking like WTF....duh....I wanna know so I can read it.

If you Christians dont have an answer, and you just want these little two points, why dont you just type "I dont know" instead of your little funky attitudes.

It's funny, I'm writing a novel right now about a Christian community with a newly ordained minister, and he's facing this very problem. It seems these days as if atheists are better prepared intellectually to attack Christian beliefs than Christians are to defend them. Some Christians are falling back on simplistic answers (such as fundamentalism, literalism, and creationism). What is really needed, instead, is sound biblical scholarship, careful study and thorough knowledge of the Bible. Anything less does a disservice to the message of revelation -- and to the God who revealed it.

Well... I guess I could answer your question.
--------------- There are 3 parts to us: Body, Soul, and Spirit. The body is the flesh the soul is our self-consciousness, and the Spirit is GOD-consciousness. Animals have bodies and souls but no spirits. The have physical attributes and they are conscious of their existence, yet they have no way to even percieve of a GOD like we can. Humans can specifically worship a GOD. Keep in mind we are the only 'living organism' in the known universe that has the ability to worship GOD. Unfortunately many may downplay this privilege
(if you think it is a privilege...)

And as for Christians being smart, I myself am not smart, but I beleive that the God I represent is infinetely knowledgeable and as long as I follow his word I cannot go wrong.

Excuse me, but lumping all Christians into a group like that is just not right. Not only that, how do you know who they say they are, they could be non-believers posing as Christians to make them look bad. Did you consider that?

I will answer any question as best I can, but I will also discount any snide questions that pose as slams to Christianity or Christians too.

I may not be a Christian, but I have studied the bible for a long time, and I will help answer your question in any way I can.

Feel free to email me, and I will answer any question you have about the bible, and if I don't know it I will personally ask someone who does.

Because the questions you people are asking have been answered since the 2nd century. Research the history of Christianity for yourself. Quit relying on others to do your homework for you.

What I meant was, why do you need to feel you can prove than animals don't have souls. In my opinion they do, and to believe they don't is just another example of mans arrogance. And yes, I have read the bible, all of it!
