I was inspired by an answer one of my contacts received with a link to demonology, and upon reviewing the vast list of Demons and their purpose, some of them were the bringers of inspiration, love, music, returning runaways, aiding soldiers etc, so is it safe to say that not all of the fallen were evil and have actually contributed more than the ideology of the Guardian Angel, and the cruelty of the Powers, the term Demon has always had such a negative reaction when the punishment from God for their rebellion was the separation from Him, why is it that the general popular belief is that when they were cast out of Gods presence that they lost their original nature and became evil and ugly? any and all replies welcomed.

I take it i am that contact as i recently got a reply with it lol.
When you consider that the fallen are Fallen Angels, it isnt hard to believe. The angels themselves have certain areas where they excel, and the fallen are still angels.
That they rebelled against God is no different. Look to childhood, some children rebel against their parents, others do not. So, in truth of the matter, does this in effect, just mean that God is being a bad parent by exhiling his children so?
I mean, people state how evil Lucifer, Satan and the like are, but what would you do if YOUR child would not listen? Would you ban him/her from the house and never let them bad? Tell them an eternity of lonliness and torment is for them?
If you did, i am almost certain they would become bad eggs.
Edit: Idiot Savant, I believe that the Necronomicon demons are based off the ancient Goetia rites. The Necronomicon itself however, is a work of fiction based on the old HP Lovecraft stories.
To read about what it is based on, check out the Lesser Keys of Solomon and the Goetian magick.

I've always found it interesting that the most vilified of the angels, the most "demonized" of all the angels was accused of deception, is called the Prince of Lies, yet, his name was the "Lightbringer, the Bearer of Truth."
Now, since I have no personal experience of the argument, battle, or ensuing banishment, I can only look at these stories as reflections of our culture, as I would any myth.
As a social tool, the fallen could not keep their original natures and be used as an example of what happens to those who think for themselves or challenge the status quo. An insecure ruler allows no challenges to his/her rule, and cannot allow the possibility that any other course of action might exist. Thus, allowing the fallen angels to keep their original nature runs the risk of letting them become martyrs, and beings to be respected, rather than feared and hated. It would not reinforce the omnipotence of God, which was necessary for the justification of the "divine right" of kings.

Lucifer, the light bringer was the first believer in equal rights, in a way he was Martin Luther King Jr. which isn't to say Martin was evil but that Lucifer just wanted God to love Angels as much as his dust people! Near as I can tell Angels and house elves have a lot in common!

Lucifer was the 1st angel to challenge GOD. He,deceived 1/3 of the angelic host and lead to the "fall".Satan is the god of this world. He has a high ranking army(demonic force). Each demon is assigned to each particularly sin based on ones past.Example if you had a fornication problem, than Satan knows your past, and will assigned that particular demon for that sin.
Demons do NOT in any way, shape,or form to good.Their purpose is to carry out the works of their leader. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places Ephesians 6:12
