Not at all. I haven't ever seen any real refs to Christians playing harps for an eternity, That would be real boring for sure...
What I have read is that Heaven will be much like the original paradise was, with plants and other vegetation, streets, mansions, animals, just a perfect environment unlike our current one. No death, no sorrow. All it takes is a little research to dispel the silly ideas folks have, about doing nothing but praising God for eternity. Certainly we will PRAISE GOD, but we will also live life, just perfectly.
Have an outstanding one! =)

That is the figment of man's imagination. Just like Angels playing harps and floating on a cloud.

God has a government and administration. We who chose Him voluntarily will have ministry assignments or positions in heaven based on our rewards.

We will eat and drink as Jesus did in His resurrected body for the pleasure not because we need to be physically sustained, we will fellowship with angels, reign with Christ, service Christ, travel to vast new frontiers of the new creation, and rest eternally in serving God.

Worshiping God will not be hard for saints because they already do it down here and it is hardly boring.

We will live in a gem of a city because of God's glory radiating like a celestial jewel. The gold is like transparent glass, allowing God's light to flood through it. This enhances the display of His majesty and will stir our hearts to worship Him.

What there won't be in heaven is sin or sinners or self-glory.

All are welcomed on His terms.

Depends on if you like harps or not. Actually the bible is very clear on the subject. In fact it says there are very few in Heaven right now and when you die, you do not go directly to Heaven but to the grave to wait for Jesus to come back to get you to take you there. See 1 Thess. 4:16-17. In Isaiah 66 you find that we will build houses and inhabit them, plant vineyards and eat the fruit of them. And elsewhere in the bible it tells of going to the other planets and exploring the universe. Boring it will NOT be but to those that really would not like to be there and they won't get there anyway as Jesus knows the heart and if you would really not be happy in Heaven, you will not have to go there but will be burned up in the fires of Hell as per your choice.

I agree. The Biblical (or traditional artistic) depiction of heaven is static and not very appealing. I think of heaven as a state of being (not a physical place) where you are eternall bathed in soft light and gentle warmth, but not the blinding brilliance of a beatific vision of God. I also like what the apostle Paul says about "knowing as I am known" and seeing "not through a glass darkly, but face to face". In other words, I believe that, after we leave this life, we will come to a greater, fuller understanding of the meaning of life and the purpose of the universe. I believe we will continue to grow spiritually, coming ever closer to God.

The playing of harps in heaven is a popular notion which lacks any scriptural support. I don't know what people will do in heaven, but I do believe that heaven will be infinitely better than what we can imagine and hell infinitely worse.

Always sounds boring to me when I try to think about it. If everything's perfect up there, there's nothing left to be done. There needs to be some balance of both, good & evil. Without the bad times, there wouldn't be good times to look forward to, it would just be the same everyday. I never pictured it as sitting there playing harps for eternity though, that sounds even worse!

According to the bible you will no longer be called people in heaven because you will be changed in an instant by God to be spiritual. You will know nothing about your life on earth . You will be in heaven like a prince, no work,no play, nothing is malicious and everything happenning on earth will not happen in heaven.

I have no idea. But if it means I can exsist without pain, and suffering, free from sin and lust and want than I'll play harps for the Lord Jesus Christ for eternity. Anyway, how can spending eternity in the presense of God be boring?

Its going to be loud probably. David in the OT had several thousands of praise and worshipers and every musical instrument that was designed in that time.
