I thought it was the opposite. Over the last ten years, information and knowledge has become much more accessible with the increased use of the Internet. In my opinion, the more people know about the Origins of Christianity, the bible, and Christian history, the less likely they are to get involved in it.

I am seeing just the opposite. So many more doubts and questions. Reading the Bible searching for answers. I was dumbfounded when the question of belief was asked on a night time talk show as to how many believed. A resounding no.

really? I haven't. It might be an area thing, when I lived in London there were 'immigrant' populations that went to church, but the indigenous people still didn't.
In the UK only 7 % of people go to church, and since some of that must be funerals, maybe 0.5% of those are dead.

Well I suppose it is okay for sad people who need a shoulder to cry on but the whole thing is based on a load of inaccurately and partly recorded history with a lot of myths and political lies thrown in. I have not seen any evidence that church attendance has increased but as you are, I presume, a christian you don't really need any evidence to make nonsense statements

HELL! You must be living in a Church 24-7, sharing bread crumbs with the church mice. Get out a bit, breath in some fresh air and let your rotting brain melt away slowly.

in the past the bible and other such writings were a way of explaining things we didn't understand and controlling the masses- now more and more questions are being answered by science and logic - the myth of god serves no purpose.

we don't need to be told what to think or how to live by scaremongers any more - these days we can think for ourselves

Because people in this world have nothing else to turn to. I believe in god but I am getting tired of people trying to shove religion down your throat and tell you that you will not be saved unless you go to church. I don't think that's what god wants. But hey who am I to say what he wants who is anyone to say what he wants! It is just sad that people cant believe in themselves anymore they have to have someone else to tell them what is right and what to believe in! Well anyways what exactly was your question?

Where?

In the USA Christian observance is falling at around 2% per year, and has been for almost 20 years (as long as records have been compiled in fact). Church observance in the UK is already down at around 2% - so it can't get much lower.

I have noticed lately that quite a few people spend sunday with their family enjoying themselves doing constructive things that dont involve listening to the same old pap in the same old buildings..........

I think people move into and out of religion, a lot stay in, but i think people should be able to choose whether or not to follow a religion.
Kids should never be forced to follow the religion of their parents, they should be showed the religion and be allowed to make their own minds.
