I didn't expose my children to the hell I went through in the church..I was scared to death when I was maybe 6 yrs old because of the church...and my zealot mother...I wanted my children to make that decision when they were old enough to discern themselves about religion.

No longer necessarily. You could have it appears seen the 'gentle' and need no part of this distinctive faith. It all will depend on the place you are living and if you have alternate schooling for your youngsters. I do not suppose someone must be raised with out understanding both sides of the story. When your children begin asking questions you had higher have the solutions. It's now not simply hanging your self out on a limb with what you feel in, it can be your youngsters, spouse, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, aunt, uncles etc. Your whole existence is going to change. But when you know you are right then, I see no other substitute for you. Transfer and over where no person is aware of you. To avoid wasting your household from shame and shame, you must be equipped to do whatever it takes to safeguard them. You most undoubtedly do not must teach your youngsters the faith you disagreed with and you left. There is only one real God. He has so many exclusive story's in his ebook. Maybe it is time you and your household sought out the one actual God. Just scriptures and discussions. It's a number of fun rather considering the children get to engage with their mother and father and possibly study whatever but better yet, they get to voice their ideas and their opinions. You're going to get to know every different very good. However I believe, the one real God, would smile upon that greater than something else. Spending first-rate time with the kids which He has entrusted to anyone, is the largest reward you might ever hope for. It's our duty as parents to instruct our kids God's word however, it is usually equally essential to teach them what the arena is truly all about. We feel we will get via the pearly gates on the coattails of the preachers. 'in any case, we have paid our tithe and then some. Shouldn't that be just right ample to at the least slip ignored by means of the gates?' coach your kids the truth, as you are aware of it. Get on line and in finding corporations like you. I see a day coming when the Bible will likely be outlawed. Cherish the one/s you have. They could also be hard to search out someday. Don't ever let a 'faith' or 'religious' folks stand between you and what is reality. You had been blessed with a marvellous revelation! When you have been awakened then, how many more like you've been awaken? Could the one genuine God bless you, may just He hold his protecting fingers about you and peel these blinders from all our eyes, Lord. Amen "and their spirits were awakened".......

Religion is not genetic nor is it contagious. It cannot be "given." A religion may be taught. A person may be raised in the tenets of a religion. No religion is inherently "dumb" except in the same context used by youngsters who might say that snot hanging from the nose is "dumb." Any thing with which children disagree is called "dumb" in this day and age. To teach your children a religion with which you disagree would be stupid since you wont know enough about it to pass it on correctly and it apparently would violate your beliefs.

If a person believes the religion he has been exposed to is dumb then most like it will not be passed to his children unless other family members force it.
If one religion is dumb then they all are.

bein religious is not compulsory, it is still our God givin right 2 choose our own faith thankfully. i 4 one, am spiritual but not realigious meanin i believe in God but not in religion. every1 has deir own point of view, in my eyes i dnt c religion as bein holy as it causes war, barriers n generally strife. u hav 2 b careful wht u say wen it cums 2 religion bcuz oda ppl place big importance in it so i wudnt state dat "christians think islam and other religions are dumb", cuz apart from it not bein a fact it is judgemental n stereotype. wht i jus sed has nutin 2 do wid religion, but is merely 2 do wid morals. hp ppl find sum wisdom in my words.

No I won't pass anything down to my children-if applied- that I later found out was dumb. By the way, I do not think any religion is dumb. I just think we believe different- and am very tolerant and non-judgemental.

People need to do what's good for them.....and mind their business about other people.
I was raised in a religion and practiced the religion. I then raised my daughter in the religion.
After many years I no longer believed in God and became and Atheist.....my daughter is an adult and still practices her faith.
In my world you respect a person's choices and move on with your life.

No.
I would endeavor to show my son the beauty in the world and try to educate my son on the values of right conduct, right intent and the benefits of courage and the application of strength of conviction, on seeking truth, seeking proof in all things and being honest and compassionate to all others.
Then I would encourage my son to form his own beliefs and not be any body's sheep or clone.

My father was baptist, my mother a wiccan. I have no religion but I will teach my children about each and every religion and let them chose what they will. Its their choice to make as an independent human being.
