I just heard about the Dresden Codex in a documentary over the weekend. ( I know, I've lived a sheltered life.) Does anybody have any thoughts on what may happen on December 15, 2012 when certain things line up in our solar system?

God put magnets (magnetic forces) in the earth and mineral/metal content in our bodies to hold us onto the planet, doesn't that disprove the gravity theory?

Examine yourself. If you have ever told a lie, that would make you a lier before God. If you have ever stolen(even something small) that would make you a theif, have you ever looked upon a woman or man with lust in your heart? if yes, then that makes you an adulterer. Go ahead and review the rest of the commandments and see if you have kept them. So far we are a lier, theif and adulterer, so does that mean we're going to hell? It sure does, because without God's forgiveness of these sins we will never enter the Kingdom of heaven. But if we repent of all our sins, and start with a clean slate, and keep his commandments we can inherit the Kingdom of God. So which one do you choose? Heaven which is Gods reward, or hell which is Gods way of saying ok, when we sin...Thank you.

Evolution is a theory, in scientific language in means is proved to be true and considered to be true by ALL the scientific community. There's all kind of hardcore objective evidence around if you wanna look up that supports it. We see viruses evolving right before our noses all the time, and we see plants evolving after several generations and adapting to a new enviroment. i could see it with my own eyes in my friend's mom's greenhouse. And tho even you don't wanna believe it in the face of all the existing evidence? what are you doing believing in a God with zero evidence? why don't you go a prove the existence of your god, before attacking scientific theories on the basis of your ignorance?

I know what the bible says about homosexuals... which isn't my question. Since most transvestites aren't gay... is it still wrong? My Sunday school class came up with the question and I'd be interested in other's opinions. Children often dress up as the opposite sex... where (and is there) a definitive rule on what is and isn't acceptable in God's eyes? Thanks for the info!

1. Who wrote the bible?
2. The bible says NO MAN has ever seen god, so what about the Adam?
3. Who told you that gods name is jehovah?
4. Why do you push your beliefs on others? (telling them jehovah is the ONLY god and should be the only one worshipped?)
5. Did god create man or did man create god?

Many religions have their source in one guy who said he had a vision while he was by himself. What religions out there have their source in a mass revelation?

(Not, "God came to me in a vision the other day," but rather, "God came to me in front of millions of witnesses who all saw and heard the same thing.")

I had always heard that Jesus carried his own cross. In fact there is at least one common saying based on it.

A friend of mine just told me that there is some confusion about that; he said only one passage said that Jesus carried the cross, all the others described someone else doing it.

Should I change my mental image of the crucifiction?

I think abortion is wrong. I'm not saying that because I think some invisible thing would burn me in hell if I said otherwise, but because I think it's wrong to kill anything that's alive. Fetuses in the womb can react to music, which, to me, is a sign that they're not just bundles of cells.
I'm not trying to piss anybody off, just wanted to know what you guys thought.

Take for example a person (secularist maybe) who doesn't "believe" in Jesus and who is obviously not a Christian. Then they go and say "You know what? I'm gonna be a Christian. There, I did it. I slapped the Christian lable on myself. Now I'm a Christian."

What has taken place there but the labeling of oneself? How has anything changed? What would really happen? I'm talking about something tangible. Not promises of "heavenly blessings" or "the spirit dwelling within your heart" or intangibles like that. Something tangible, something earthly. What, if anything, is changed when a person adopts a label?
Does it mean nothing more being "part of the club"?
