Considering that the meaning is: Allahu Akbar means 'God is the Greatest', meaning that nothing can supersede God or be better than Him. It is a common phraze in Islam and it features in the adhan and prayer. Muslims tend to use it for lots of reasons and to express many emotions.

I would do nothing.

I would repeat it back to the person who said it.

It means "God is great."

In Muslim areas, they use the words "Allahu Akbar" over loudspeakers to let people know that it's time to pray.

Aint nothing wrong with saying Allah Akbar. It is very similar to saying Hallaluja. If he is carrying a bomb I would run away even if he doesn't scream Allahu Akbar!!

From your picture, you look like a "patriot" to me, why don't you tackle him and defend freedom?

Scream it with him and laugh as you run the other way... lol it means "God is Greatest", not every Muslim that says it is planning to kill somebody... is not different then people who scream 'Praise Jesus" or "Hallelujah"... you people just seem to associate anything Islamic or to do with Muslims to terrorism.

Depends upon the tone of voice used. It could be a Muslim who just won the lottery or whose child just got all A's on her report card.

nice prejudice.... Why run? maybe it`s a man praying or maybe it`s just another exclamation. Christians say "Oh God!" on all sorts of occasions. Should that be feared?

Run and ask questions later.

That, or duck and cover...but by then it'd probably be too late.

However, if they just SAID it, like in a normal tone, it wouldn't bother me at all.
