Scientists have begun blurring the line between human and animal by producing chimeras—a hybrid creature that's part human, part animal.

Chinese scientists at the Shanghai Second Medical University in 2003 successfully fused human cells with rabbit eggs. The embryos were reportedly the first human-animal chimeras successfully created. They were allowed to develop for several days in a laboratory dish before the scientists destroyed the embryos to harvest their stem cells.

In Minnesota last year researchers at the Mayo Clinic created pigs with human blood flowing through their bodies.

And at Stanford University in California an experiment might be done later this year to create mice with human brains.

Scientists feel that, the more human like the animal, the better research model it makes for testing drugs or possibly growing "spare parts," such as livers, to transplant into humans.

What would your religon be...The basic belifs etc etc

It's not what you think is most likley, but what you think would work for makind the best

Id like to think god is an energy and we all sort of seprated from energy...and then the first ppl to seprate were like the angels and they look after us. And we're the humans and animals and trees that came next. And the energy is our life source, and our soul. And when we die we just go with our energy to someone else and the process of reincarnation keeps repeating itself till you're ready to go and join with the energy again...or something like that

All you need is to be a good person

nice and simple, if that makes sence

what do you guys think?

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was a god.

The scriture does not teach two Gods, Jesus came down from God.

It does not teach that He was an angel. Heb 1

And if He was a god, when was He created and where?

I know a man who was doing the above. Who would be more annoyed, the protestants who were giving him money, or, the faith he's kind of turned his back on just for money???

I mean, after all, how can you reject something you don't even believe exists? By saying what they do, xtians are implying that atheists [even agnostics] once knew god and now rejects him. Which is just not true.

This is a question Christians might profit by asking themselves. In 2042 less than half of Americans will call themselves Christians.

Self examination concerning evangelism, attitude, and treatment of non-Christians might provide the answer.

Wouldn't that make more sense to have a Messiah a little after time started instead of waiting, to spread the word of God?

Why did he wait so long?

On this, the eve of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, how can we show/prove the Assumption and Coronation to Protestants? My goal is not necessarily to convert them and for them to have some kind of divine revelation; I would just like the history of how these great events became Church teaching. When I try to prove my point, I just get, "Where does it say that in the Bible?" shoved in my face. How can we refute that?

And please, no Protestant crap answers about Catholics so-called "distorted view of Mary". If you are a Protestant and have something meaningful to say, I welcome your thoughts. But I am not here to be bludgeoned by your ignorance.

Like really, some of the questions you'll post have answers all over the Bible... but if only you'll have read the bible! Do you think this is because these days there is so much science in your face that you believe science and dont bother to actually read the holy scriptures for yourself to see if there is any truth in it. Or maybe because it is so much extra work and religion is so damn hard to follow!!! Is it that what makes you'll atheists... do you'll ever stop and think?

1. Atheists cannot prove that there is no God.

2. Why in the world are you trying to recruit people to not believe in God? Athesism isn't a religion.

3. I know there are some atheists out there who don't belittle people because of there faith. I'm sure that each Athesit has his or her own belief system.

4. I imagine that most Athesits believe in the Big Bang and The Theory of Evolution. These are beliefs widely held by Atheists but as with all scietific inquiry if better evidence came along for something else I'm certain you would accept it. As with all theories they are just that theories an explanation of what was thought to have happened.

Well, about me, I recently moved out to Kentucky from San Diego. Im 18 about to start my last year in Highschool. This is my problem. Ive been a Christian about 2 years now. I used to be on fire for the Lord, and i truly felt like i was near God. and God was near me. I know that the Lord is leading me in the dirrection of Youth Pastoring, and or evangelizing. Well since i recently moved out, ive been falling away from the Lord, My parents dont attend church, so as you may have guessed its been about 2 months since ive gone to church. Ive tried to do my own things like listen to sermons online from my church in San Diego, have my own bible studies. and talk with some of my christian friends. However during the day, im home almost all day, and theres not a whole lot to do, so im on the computer most of the day, buying and selling on ebay for some spending money, however i randomly get urges to look at porno. and i have an extremely hard time fighting back. I know scripture, but what to do

How can you deny the universe wasn't created by the Flying Spaghetti Monster? I mean, there are so many messed up things, obviously the FSM was drunk, or incompetent, or careless when he created it.

Further, gravity does not exist! Everything is held to the ground by the FSM's Holy Noodles.

All of this is in His Holy Gospel, therefore there is proof that He does exist!
