Where do they get their money and why don't they give some to the poor in the community? Why are they bigger than shopping malls and I'm not talking about the ones with schools inside, these have no school. Just big *** churches 2 city blocks long.

I know this is a bad place to ask about GOD and Christianity because there are so many athiests that love to clutter your question.

First of all PLEASE no harassment or judgements.

Anyway lately I have not been reading the bible or praying to God because in the bible there's a lot of....woman bashing in there. I don't have specific refrences but here are some examples:

Women who are accused of adultery or getting pregnant before marriage are stoned and killed or have to drink this stuff to sterilize them. Or they have to be submissive and slave to their husbands and men are supposed to rule over. If men are to commit adultery or any other crime they aren't punished as bad. Unless they kill the whole city because their sister was raped.

Should I just ignore and skip over the woman bashing thing or what?

Don't answer if you're gonna say "That doesn't say that in the bible" because it does
Don't answer if you're gonna say "God doesn't exist, God hates women"

k..m kinda freaking out because of what happened last night..
my restroom is in my bedroom itself..and it was like night 11:30 pm or so
I woke up as I was getting ready to sleep and I switched the main lights (lights in my bedroom) off to go the restroom..I thought I would start the lights in the restroom
Once I switched off the lights the room was in utter darkness and I could not see a thing so I rushed to the restroom and put the lights on there..then when I came out of the restroom I obviously switched off the lights but when I came to my bed..the bedside lamp was on..
I was mystified..coz I remember I had not kept the lamp on since the main lights were on..also when I switched the main lights on the room was in utter darkness ..then I straightaway went to the restroom and while coming out this thing freaked me out..it was not a dream and I remember it perfectly because I couldn't sleep well coz of it..also I remember that the bedside light was not on..pretty sure

Race or certain counties in God's favor

(Revelation 7:9-10) 9 After these things I saw, and, look! a great crowd, which no man was able to number, out of all nations and tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, dressed in white robes; and there were palm branches in their hands. 10 And they keep on crying with a loud voice, saying: “Salvation [we owe] to our God, who is seated on the throne, and to the Lamb.”

(Acts 10:34-36) 34 At this Peter opened his mouth and said: “For a certainty I perceive that God is not partial, 35 but in every nation the man that fears him and works righteousness is acceptable to him.
So does that sound like God is a racist?
How would he feel about someone who was? or who was haughty?.

Should we get by with paying them very little when we can actually afford to pay them descent wages? I read where this man said he would have to close his business if he gave his employees a raise. Yet he lived in a 2 milion dollar mansion and owned a jet and fleet of cars.

11 But now I am writing YOU to quit mixing in company with anyone called a brother that is a fornicator or a greedy person or an idolater or a reviler or a drunkard or an extortioner, not even eating with such a man. 12 For what do I have to do with judging those outside? Do YOU not judge those inside, 13 while God judges those outside? “Remove the wicked [man] from among yourselves.”
luke 16:20 about a rich man and he had very little compassion for this poor man. What was the outcome after the two men died?
isn't being greedy and lying about it a sin?

Our Soul..made up of the Mind Emotions and Will needs to be transformed. What are we being transformed FROM and INTO. In what ways can we give the Lord the means to renew our mind? Considering that in Romans 8:6 " the mind set on the flesh is death but the mind set on the spirit is life and peace" then our minds and what we allow to harbour there and where it is set will determine where our whole being will be. Whether in life or death. If some can connect the matters of renewing the mind for transformation and where the mind is set, be it on the spirit or flesh to bring about our gradual transformation would be really great. I am sure that through the responses many will be enlightened regarding such a crucial matter in our christian life and growth..
Ty in advance:)

Is ones "personal relationship with god" the equivalent behavior to the kind of imaginary play a child might enguage in when enjoying a toy... as in personifing the character of a doll and then speaking for it?

It seems to me that this is exactly the behavior observable in those who claim god is a real being.

Your opinions, please...

I was baptized in the Holy Spirit in 1995. From 1981 until then all I knew was salvation (fire insurance). In 1995 I decided to give Jesus everything and it was then that I was filled with the Power of the Holy Spirit. I speak with many Christians who say that it is not necessary. For me it was the greatest day of my life aside from confessing Jesus. Some will say that you received all the Holy Spirit you will get when you accepted Jesus but I am here to tell you that is bull. Christians, if you do not seek this most needed gift from God then it will be virtually impossible for you to make through the days that are ahead of us. I am not questioning your salvation if you have put you faith in Christ but encourage you to seek Gods best for you.

Those who are not Christians can post away. I am just glad your on here catching some truth. Faith comes by hearing and if you are on this site then you are hearing at least some truth.

My wife has a friend who is a member of the Jesus Christ Church of Apostlistic Faith. She came to our house for dinner the other night. Throughout the visit, she seemed very depressed and not herself. When my wife asked her what was wrong, she said that a friend at her church passed away and elders told her that her friend had not found the Holy Ghost, so she was most likely going to hell. My question is: What does it mean to find the Holy Ghost? Is this something specific to the Church of Apostlistic Faith or is this something that all Christians believe? I thought Christians just believed that one had to “accept Jesus as their savior” in order to go to heaven.

My 5 year old brother came to me this morning and woke me up.
"MYA! guess what? I learned what I have to do to stay away from hell, cause I don't like that place. I prayed to God and said that I was sorry for all of the bad things I did. Now I get to go to heaven not hell cause I really don't like it there. Hey,you should do that too.Oh,and wake up. I'm hungry." With that he marched out of my room.
Despite the fact that I'm a really bad morning person,it was cute.
So hows your day going so far R&S?
