Much as I'd just LOVE to nominate Jack P for daring to call me Intelligent (the nerve of it) ...... I'd probably have to give that title to our dear pal Primoa..... for brown-nosing Jesus above and beyond the call of duty.

Excuse me, but you didn't cite your source for that quote..... you quote-stealer.
Someone watched too much Visionaries as a child... hmm?

There are too many sycophants to pick from here anyway, to go by your definition. On the other hand I doubt any of them are guilty of grassing in their fellow humans for stealing figs... or anything of the sort.

As I said before though..... this Badger doesn't name-drop.

Have you ever been walking at night and run into a slippery mound you couldn't get traction on to climb over? Elephants poop really really big! Finally got my boots clean. Ugh.
Intelligence. Go around.

I don't really think we have one given the definition you're using. I think that some of us genuinely love to give compliments and I guess if you took any religious person you could say they were 'brown-nosing'. I don't know. Call me naive but I think many are genuine with compliments. Namaste

Pangel, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.

sycophantic= praise giving, respectful

There are negatives to this but it can be spurious, i.e. boot-licking. So Pangel for the positive attributes not the negative.

I think your interpretation is flawed
