According to the Bible animals don't have spirits, but I mean this ape really believes in Heaven, understands who Jesus is and accepts him as his alpha-primate and savior... would he be able to go?

Is this a self-help question for yourself?

The diference between man and all other animals is self-realization. Apes may be taught a few rudimentry signs (although having seen such claims I have my doubts that the ape in question is actually forming sentences or if the "translator" isn't being a bit over zealous) the ape still lacks even the simplest basis for rationality.

Therefore, I must reject your basic premise that an ape can be taught sign language. If it really could, it would no longer be an ape. After all, if you really believe that you can teach an ape to speak and understand using sign language, go into the cage after making the ape hungry and angry and explain that this is just part of an experiment. See if he gets it.

Atlas,
According to CHRIST we will not have bodies in Heaven. We will be spiritual as GOD. Thus since the ape has no soul it would not exist there. Have a wonderful week.
Thanks,

I wonder if this ape would accept evolution or believe in creationism. Now that would be a real hoot!!!

As far as I know, soul is what makes humans so special.
And as far as I know, animals know who God is. You don't have to bother teaching any of them about God.
